My background is sporting governance; I know a daft amount about it; I’m very experienced in it; I advise national governing bodies. I am one of the very few people based in the UK that the WRU should / could have spoken to about the proposed changes to the structure.

As a little dust settles; for me one of the biggest unspoken tragedies if @scarlets_rugby are axed is they’re the only region that openly champions and embraces the Welsh language. To lose that voice and visibility in our game would be a cultural travesty, not just a rugby one.

@upparfc @MagpieScarlet @cbissex I think Dragons had no choice seeing where they are this year and having all the chat of them being axed, it was absolutely the only decision for them to sign. However it doesn’t make it right for Ospreys and Scarlets.

@MagpieScarlet @cbissex Have they? Or have they assessed the situation, looked at all potential outcomes and made a decision that the best decision for them. Not to play the game or keep everyone happy, but the best decision for them. No arse licking, nothing to do with o+s but the best for them. Sense?

Cardiff has everything going for it been the Capital team yet they still find themselves in administration Drags have just come out of administration and can’t win a game for love nor money mainly through poor signings Yet the Scarlets and O’s are the ones to go No bias here

@PeteCEng1 @WelshRugbyUnion That’s absolutely fine and understandable but the @WelshRugbyUnion came out only 5 weeks ago and say they were committed to 4 regions.

@scarletalex @WelshRugbyUnion I have no skin in the pro game but by observation and conversation with somebody heavily involved I don’t believe 4 could be made to work in today’s climate. I don’t see any willingness anywhere to compromise.

@WelshRugbyUnion With the new CEO there was so much optimism about an improved relationship between the @WelshRugbyUnion and the regions. All @ospreys and @scarlets_rugby wanted was assurances and you have not given these. This is bullying and so sad to see a national body acting like this.

@simonrug So the club that comes last and the one that when into admin get favourable terms after failing whilst the one that has reached Top 8 and the other that is building their own place get less. Well done WRU you have surpassed yourselves. This is simply childish behaviour. Pathetic
