I just donated - astronomy gives me so much joy, and this is a lovely way to share it. I still love it when someone sees Saturn or the Moon for the first time through a telescope. More often than not, they say "wow!". Those views really are that cool.

@profsamperry After listening to a (very good) talk by someone in my field, I talked to her afterward about collaborating on a telescope proposal. That happened, and we've been collaborating productively for more than 10 years.
