Donald Trump was overwhelmingly elected by the American people to be our President and Commander in Chief. As our Commander in Chief, he is responsible for determining what is and is not an imminent threat, and whether or not to take action he deems necessary to protect the safety and security of our troops, the American people and our country. The Office of the Director of National Intelligence is responsible for helping coordinate and integrate all intelligence to provide the President and Commander in Chief with the best information available to inform his decisions. After carefully reviewing all the information before him, President Trump concluded that the terrorist Islamist regime in Iran posed an imminent threat and he took action based on that conclusion.

The US and Israel bombed more than 20,000 non-military buildings, including 17,353 that were residential, in the first 12 days of their illegal war of aggression against Iran. AI is helping them brutally bomb civilian areas. This is from an FT report: ft.com/content/fedb26…

NBC correspondent Richard Engel interviews Netanyahu adviser Ofir Falk: “What information did you have indicating that Iran was on the verge of launching an imminent attack?” Falk: “One good indication is that for the past 47 years they have been saying, ‘Death to America, death to Israel.’” Engel: “Yes, but they have been saying that for 47 years...” Falk dodged without giving an answer, even though Engel repeated the question several times, and made clear that he still did not understand the reason.

Children and minors make up around 30% of those killed so far in U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran, according to Iran’s Ministry of Health in a statement released Sunday. Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani also stated on Friday, "So far 3,090 residential units, 528 commercial units, and 13 medical facilities (nine of which belonged to the Red Crescent) have been hit, and we have witnessed human casualties in healthcare centers.” Israeli airstrikes on Tehran’s oil depots and petroleum logistics infrastructure over the weekend filled the city of 10 million people with toxic smoke, prompting authorities to warn Sunday of dangerous acid rain. Residents have reported shortness of breath and burning in the eyes and throat, while health officials caution exposure to the chemical gasses and fine particulates can worsen lung and heart conditions and increase the risk of cancer. 📸The last photo of Mikaeil Mirdoraghi, a third-grader killed in the Feb. 28 U.S.-Israeli strike on a primary school in Minab, Iran. He is waving goodbye to his mother.

Cotton: "Israel faced an existential risk and they were prepared to strike Iran alone. If that happened, Iran was very likely to target our troops. That may address the question of 'why now.'"
