The Armenian church of St Mary in Zakho. It’s the only Armenian church in the country that uses the traditional building material known as Red Tuff which is a lightweight volcanic material that is very common in traditional Armenian Architecture كنيسة مريم العذراء الأرمنية في زاخو. إنها الكنيسة الأرمنية الوحيدة في البلاد التي تستخدم مادة البناء التقليدية المعروفة باسم "التوف الأحمر"، وهو مادة بركانية خفيفة الوزن وشائعة جداً في العمارة الأرمنية التقليدية. Kurdish nationalists must stop claiming the Lurs, you're only making them your enemies. Lurs and Kurds are two brotherly Iranian peoples but they're two distinct ethnic groups. Lurs are NOT Kurds. They have NEVER been Kurds. Lurs speak a Southwestern Iranian language whereas we the Kurds speak a Northwestern Iranian language. Stop claiming the Lurs.
