@mokanjim I think ground for hunting is the bigger problem. A farm with trees and pasture is not advertised for cattle. Its for your own private hunting.

Rebuilding the U.S. cattle herd isn’t realistic. Pasture land has been converted to crops, development nationwide. The population is up ~25 million in 10 years, beef demand is strong, and supply is tight. Beef is becoming a premium product — like fine bourbon or wine.

Clearly short of line to gain if he was sliding. They must not have ruled this a slide because the ball would’ve been placed where it’s at when you begin the slide. It was an awkward slide and a tough call.

Although I’m sure you feed a lot of your grain @shiele_lance (thank you to all livestock producers), storage can be a tremendous asset to a grain farmer Grain is mostly an undifferentiated commodity. Holding it til when the end user actually needs it most can improve it’s value
