A decade ago, I sat over pizza with seven great American space thinkers. After weeks of detailed analysis of everything NASA plus some spirited debate, our Agency Review Team agreed on recommendations to the VP and White House. The most important was that the hardware NASA and the commercial sector were building needed a challenge worthy of its capabilities and of the agency's talented workforce. They would inevitably point to the country they were assigned to. Schultz would respond by pointing to the US and correcting them: “this is your country.”

Trae Stephens Hill & Valley Hot Take: "The government is meant to govern" "Which means that they need to create policies, they need to legislate, & I feel like they've abdicated their posts, they've abandoned their posts, & they haven't actually been creating policy. And the tech community has showed up, in response to that, trying to be a philosopher king & determine what they think the policy should be. But I think that this belongs in the hands of the American people & the elected representatives in the government, & we really need them to step up & guide." @traestephens @HillValleyForum
