Absolute garbage. 1) No HPV vaccine is given at birth or around it - it is advised only 11-12 years onwards. 2) It's not given universally because of HPV infection - that is manageable even if it occurs. The risk is that HPV can directly cause Cervical Cancer – the second most common cancer in women in India overall, and the most common in rural areas. 3) Just because you like to live under a rock doesn't mean the rest of the world doesn't exist. One woman dies of Cervical Cancer every 8 minutes in India. And to stress again, it is more common in RURAL parts than urban India. 4) If there was a vaccine to prevent testicular cancer, even if it were found to be due to a sexually transmitted organism, men would rail against the government to make it available for everyone. This is ALREADY true for Hepatitis B vaccines – also transmitted parenterally/sexually and also vaccinated against because it can cause liver cancer. No one bats at eye at it. 5) If the thought that your daughter will become sexually active at one point – and may have more than one partner or they may be with someone who has had another partner in the past – is so unthinkable for you that you're willing to gamble with her life, you need to seriously sit down and reassess your biases and priorities.
