there’s legitimately no blockchain even close to solana the biggest risk to sol is their UX moat getting neutralized with rise of crosschain apps like fomo/relay regardless, out of all the L1’s… SOL clearly had the most battle testing with real scale this whole cycle it became the default and in crypto the only way to replace a default is to be 10x better for a long stretch of time building anywhere but sol inherently carries leveraged bet on the L1, which new builders rarely want to take

Now that memecoins have become a firm pillar of our web3 experience, we should go back to treating NFTs like collectibles. You can’t floor a physical collectible into the lowest bid or into a liquidity pool, and until awful market making mechanics like these are removed from the NFT trading experience, they’ll continue to struggle in limbo of not being collectible enough and not being liquid enough. At the moment, collectibility is only restricted to mega expensive NFTs like punks but keep in mind you can buy a Pokémon card pack for lunch money. Collectibility is as linked to emotional value it is to financial. Memecoins take care of liquidity, NFTs need to regain collectibility to earn their rightful place in the web3 experience.

@thejonnyjpegs @MagicEden @tensor I’ve been saying forever this space needs to gatekeep and incubate centrally until escape velocity. The rules you suggested are dead on. Even bitcoin was centrally incubated initially. Memes are the exact opposite and it crashed and burned. This is because money is finite.

For NFTs to truly come back we need @MagicEden and @Tensor to purge all of the collections and only list the top 100 or so based on specific criteria. In addition, we should make the requirements stricter for new mints/listings. There has to be a return to quality, frankly we don’t need new mints, we need a concentration of capital into what’s proven and exists today. This will give market makers, liquidity providers, and users more confidence in the ecosystem. We made the mistake of diluting NFTs and now Memecoins. Let’s take those learnings, rip off the bandaid and bring back an NFT bull run like we’ve never seen before. That is all, share your thoughts 👇🏼

Exactly as I called it—the Bitcoin strategic reserve was a total nothing burger. The moment it was signed, BTC tanked even further. The maxis are going to try to brand this as the US government is buying BTC, but that’s not true at all. The order confirms the gov will hold Bitcoin already seized from criminals. No new purchases and nothing has changed.

@3orovik I said they would not buy any Bitcoin to add to the reserve. I knew they might keep what they already had. That's why I had hoped Biden would have sold it before he left. But he couldn't even get that right.

While it's up for debate whether the government can buy more Bitcoin for the strategic reserve, the one thing the executive order makes clear is that the crypto stockpile will consist only of seized tokens, so no ETH, XRP, ADA, or SOL will be bought. So at least there's that!
