@NightShiftMD Super nasty head/sinus cold working through our Gatineau family. Stock up on meds if you haven't. Glad I did. The flu shot didn't protect us.

Worried about infrastructure costs? Then end the apartment ban. To tackle the housing shortage and close the infrastructure gap, ending exclusionary zoning is a critical part of the solution. Oped in today's Vancouver Sun vancouversun.com/opinion/worrie…

@beheshtialex Region of Waterloo actively managed the countryside line to reduce greenspace sprawl as it protected the groundwater recharge areas that provides drinking water. 75% of Regions supply comes from groundwater unlike most other urban areas in Ont. that access Great Lakes.

@bronwynnewilton Agree! And it starts with a stormwater utility for small to mid sized municipalities so they have the $ to manage our changing water cycle that is producing ’stormwater’

@LisaMAndrews_ Would love to hear more insights! From my experience, this is a reality in 🇨🇦 too. The timelines for traditional research and the knowledge needed for practitioners are not aligned.

We deal with lots of opposition to our urban infill projects. I want to be clear: Everyone has a right to speak up for what they feel is best for them. No judgement from us. It is our job to convince council what we think is best for the neighbourhood, and hopefully win the neighbours over when the project is finished.
