Democrats say it is cruel that we would make a healthy single 25 year-old work or volunteer 20 hours a week in order to collect SNAP money. It wasn't cruel 30 years ago when Bill Clinton did something similar. What's different now?

When NYC and Seattle bottom out in the sewers because of #socialism (you won’t have long to wait), those of us who came here from socialist countries will say “I told you so.” But defenders of socialism will fall back on their “they just didn’t do it right” defense. Of course. No one in the world has “done it right.” Ever. But these unemployed/unemployable, live-with-moms have the answer.

Because we agreed as a society that it's not right to let poor people go hungry. (Remember right and wrong?) Before you shout about them getting a job, 39% of SNAP recipients are children. 25% are disabled adults. Roughly half of recipients are employed (yes there's overlap).
