If it doesn't get done until Sunday, what's the difference?" from ultra-reliable source a few minutes ago. --Length and money still being discussed despite reports of 5-year $100M deal. They will come to terms that makes both sides comfortable. --Power, final personnel say between Harbaugh and GM Joe Schoen is no issue. Harbaugh is comfortable with the arrangement. Schoen would be foolish not to lean on Harbaugh, so I expect it will be a collaboration. -The contract is a hefty 30-40 pages. Lots of billable hours for the attorneys. Press conference will be Tuesday. Likely between noon and 2 pm. Giants fans: Relax and have a good night.

Giants ownership, from what I’m told by sources, believes that Schoen has significantly upgraded the organization since where it was at the end of the Dave Gettleman Era. They believe there’s better talent, a much better cap situation, and a more modern approach to everything.

New York Giants GM Joe Schoen may indeed still be on the hot seat after firing coach Brian Daboll today … … but the sense I’ve gotten over the last few weeks is that Schoen is a lot safer than people on the outside think.
