@NotGoldi @StavrosMintas @googlemaps I got it sort of working again by "uninstalling" from within Play Store (it doesn't uninstall, it just rolls back to the stock version that came with the phone). This one works but if you update the problem comes back.

@BarMas We've had success with hand sanitizer on blue roll - makes a smear which dilutes to unnoticeable after a few applications. The solvent we use for removing table stains is too harsh for the blackboard paint.

Amazing to discover how many MPs were secretly on the side of the persecuted postmasters all along, but were kinda biding their time in order to lull the Post Office into a false sense of security and then, AHA! They finally POUNCE a mere fifteen years too late! Such heroes.

Fan of fantasy fiction? If so, you’ll love Matt Hancock’s evidence to the Covid Inquiry, a staggering work of imagination set in an alternative universe where Matt, a noble warrior, single-handedly battles the pandemic, and everything that goes wrong is other people’s fault.

If you aren't keeping glassware and spirits (especially gin!) in the freezer, can you please explain why? 🥶🧊

@fesshole It doesn't help that the laws keep changing. Every time the ref blows-up, it feels like a game of Mornington Crescent.

‘Retaliation’ rang out on local news all my Belfast childhood. Red eyed mums twisting wedding rings begging ‘no retaliation’, newsreaders intoning the next atrocity was carried out ‘in retaliation.’ The Diameter of Bomb echos through generations, but we proved there is hope.
Lindsey Hilsum@lindseyhilsum

As the conflict in the Middle East threatens to spread, I keep thinking of Yehuda Amichai’s poem ‘The diameter of the bomb’ translated by Ted Hughes.

Believe it or Not, You Have a Birthday Gift Waiting from North! We get it; in a world where “too good to be true” often means hidden catches. Guess what? Sometimes, there are exceptions to that rule, and we're proud to be one of them!

Hope the commercial hop growers have had a better year than me. No real harvest to speak of but happy to have at least kept them alive (so far!)
