Almost every game on my wishlist was on sale for between 50-75% off
However, since Sony are content with removing my choice as a consumer from 2028, I decided to use it now and remove everything from my wishlist. I’ll get them physically instead 💁🏻♀️

I’m impressed with how fast Sony has managed to tarnish their reputation in front of millions upon millions of loyal supporters and even the impressionable general public. If you say you’re done with Sony going forward - mean it. I know I will not be supporting their digital future.

This gen playstation has made more profit than ever, if they were not making profit i could understand this being the move. It just greed at this point
It being said they will not listen to fans but listening to the fans is what turned around the ps3 and all through ps4 to make fans believe they will continue to listen. This is why myself and many others stayed and carried on with the ps5
I am even in mixed in knowing what to do with some games i am very eager to have day 1, wether to buy physical to see i do support and they should continue doing disc or just wait a nit buy second hand so sony does not get my money
Sony lost over 1 billion by not listening to fans example the live service push being the biggest one, we did not want such a push. Even having a code in a box for collector editions, in ps4 gen with disc they were sold out and gone for good. Now... they have not sold enough collector editions to the point they even go on sale
I hope they regret making this decision and change their stance but i am just one voice

More reports why Sony is trying to end physical discs: - They want to cut out the middle man, to make more profit per sale (like remove walmart cuts etc) - Sony thinks the fanbase will not switch platforms, they can do what they please without losing fans - They are convinced by ignoring this issue, they fans will just accept the changes and convert to 100% digital with time. - Sony thinks they are "too big to have commination with fans". Talking to fans has no margin benefit, so they refuse to address fans and will keep doing so I have lost all trust and goodwill with PlayStation, no words what is happening right now. Horrible company

I damn sure won’t be buying a PS6. I’ve been a PlayStation girl since PS1, but this move from Sony killed whatever loyalty I had left. If they’re really this set on screwing over physical media and acting like consumer choice doesn’t matter, then they can do that shit without my money.

@SynthPotato Its literally the consumers fault. They were providing and making tens of millions of physical disk and no back support of consumers were buying them. Its all talk but no action. Cant expect a company to spend millions of making an OPTION just to be wasted on no support back

I find it SO weird that Sony decided to just suddenly end physical game disks themselves.
I think everyone had the idea that physical MIGHT get slowly phased out over the next 15-20 years. But to suddenly end production completely, giving 0 choice to gamers & devs is just wrong.

RUMOR | Jez Corden says Microsoft is lining up buyers for XBOX studios.
