“Everyone believed this river could never be clean again.”
But 19-year-old Bittu Tabahi from Biaora, Madhya Pradesh, challenged the “impossible.” He stepped into the garbage-filled Ajnar river and began cleaning it—alone.
It started on 26th January with friends. But as the work got tougher, everyone left. Bittu didn’t. Day after day, he removed plastic, sludge, and years of waste with his own hands.
Where water was once invisible, the river now flows clean—reflecting the sky and trees.
Recently, he was praised by Anand Mahindra for his work and initiative.
This isn’t just about one river. It’s a question for all of us.
If one 19-year-old can clean a river, can’t we stop polluting it?
The problem isn’t waste—it’s our mindset.
He started alone. What will we do?

10.01% of the ocean is now in protected or conserved areas 🌊
A key milestone toward Target 3 of the #KMGBF — and a reminder that oceans are “key to the survival and health of humanity.”
But coverage isn’t enough. Effective management and equitable governance will be critical to meet 2030 goals.

There is a quiet epidemic running alongside Nigeria’s more publicised health crises. It does not arrive in sudden outbreaks or make international emergency headlines. It builds slowly, meal by meal, sip by sip, until it arrives as a stroke at the age of 45, a diabetes diagnosis at 38 years, a hypertension prescription that a household cannot reasonably afford. bit.ly/47a1qAB via Environews

Study says microplastics have become a lifelong companion for humans. Microplastics found even before birth in the human placenta and fetal tissues, suggesting we are pre-polluted before even entering the world.#unplastic

Water and Gender: Empowering Women, Transforming Water Access
#YourWaterFromAir
Water shapes every aspect of life - from homes and farms to classrooms and laboratories. Across the world, women and girls remain at the center of this journey, with global studies showing their primary role in securing water for households.
This #WorldWaterDay, #Aeronero highlights a shift in how water can be accessed and experienced. Through atmospheric water generation technology, clean drinking water can now be created directly from the air - reducing dependence on traditional sources such as rivers, pipelines, and rainfall, and opening new possibilities for communities.
At Aeronero, we believe access to clean water should empower people - especially women. When women participate in designing and leading water solutions, it strengthens resilience, improves health outcomes, and builds more sustainable communities. Because the future of water is not only about supply - it is about opportunity, leadership, and enabling a world where access to water expands possibilities for all.

This #WorldWaterDay, Dr. Durga Das – CEO & Founder of Aeronero highlights a rarely discussed reality - Water Anxiety. #YourWaterFromAir
The fear of “What if there’s no water tomorrow?”
A silent burden carried by millions… especially women.
They are the ones who constantly think ahead - ensuring water for their families and communities. This responsibility often brings stress, anxiety, and impacts mental well-being.
Water challenges are not just physical - they are emotional, social, and deeply human. Because when women face water insecurity, entire communities are affected.
With a clear mission of “Water for All. Always.”, the focus is on creating solutions that remove this fear and build a more secure, sustainable future.
Let’s move beyond awareness and take action toward real change.

India–Kenya cooperation on sustainability is gaining real traction. 🇮🇳 and 🇰🇪 signed a Memorandum of Understanding on wildlife conservation and management, committing to joint efforts in biodiversity protection, technology exchange, and capacity building that reinforce long‑term ecological sustainability. @AdarshSwaika1
Kenya itself has become a leader in renewable energy — with around 90 % of its electricity from clean sources like geothermal, wind and solar — demonstrating how sustainable energy transformation can drive economic growth and climate resilience.

Even a small rise of a few millimeters can increase coastal flooding and erosion, putting communities at greater risk.

Much like human babies growing inside their mother’s womb, mangrove seedlings begin life while still attached to the mother tree, a process called viviparous germination. These tiny life forms, known as propagules, grow and develop before they even fall, and when they do, they float across waters for days, sometimes weeks, carrying with them the incredible ability to take root wherever they land. The propagules consist of a stem-like structure with a bulbous cap and a small crown of embryonic leaves. Mangroves are superheroes in the fight against climate change and serve as symbols of resilience and adaptation. #Mangroves #TNForest #Climateaction
