The fact that you think we envy your higher education is laughable. Mere projection. You strike me as a measures of performance/measures of effectiveness type. Your only measure of performance is more talking, your only measure of effectiveness is more defeat. You taught at the height of GWOT to senior military leaders. You are, by definition, a loser. Don’t worry, I am too. Because I had to suffer under those you educated. The difference between you and I, is I can admit it. I at least tried to fix it on the ground through the barrel of my M4. You joke about the “spirit of victory”. Is it not the job of a war college (and all other PME) to inculcate a warrior ethos? It is. And you must. But you can’t. Because you have no earthly idea what it means. You can see the ethos in others. You can talk about it. You can never possess it. I don’t write on here for you. You’re already lost. I write here for the countless others watching. So they can stand up to your type. A type that still teaches in our institutions (for now). I, and others, look forward to the crashout you and your “friends” have when the institutions you once tainted get their long overdue renovations. You will never possess the 10th flame. That spirit that brings it all together as T. E. Lawrence described. And you will never possess it because you’ve removed spirit from everything. Broken every aspect of war down to its cold and clinical parts. Killing the sense of wonder that drives true genius. Distilling things down is important, but you don’t let the student put it back together with the intangible adhesive they possess and you do not. You kill it out of envy. You are the type of “expert” Clarence Thomas recently warned us all about. It’s all good though. Because the only thing you’re an expert at now is weeping your estrogen infused jealousy onto the vitriolic pages of the Atlantic. I’m just here to keep pointing it out.
Tom Nichols@RadioFreeTom

And with education in general. Status envy and insecurity makes people cranky and irrational.

The Pope visited Algeria mosque today. Taking his shoes off to wander around. Algeria was a Christian nation until Islam conquered through force, just like Europe now. Christians have no rights now there. Pope Leo hasn't even bothered visiting suffering Nigerian Christians.

I probably need to sign off for the day. I am disgusted beyond belief at the people who suddenly are acting pious for political reasons when they have forever vocally supported: 1. Murdering unborn children by the bushel. 2. Nuns being persecuted for adhering to the doctrines of the Catholic Church. 3. The mutilation of confused children to satisfy their parents’ Munchausen Syndrome. 4. The beatification of Barack Obama, Anthony Fauci and Robert Mueller as holy figures throughout the media. 5. Harsh criticism of any Trump Administration official who favorably mentions God or Jesus. 6. The ending of religious assembly during COVID. 7. A generalized disdain for orthodox Christian and Catholic persons and beliefs. 8. Hatred for the most orthodox, intellectual and Catholic of recent Popes, Pope Benedict. 9. Embrace of all manner of perversions enumerated specifically in the Bible as sins. 10. Silence on the murder of 30,000+ Persians by the Iranian mullahs and the violent murder and persecution of Christians in large swathes of the Muslim world. Pope Leo is using the Gospel as an excuse to meddle in purely political affairs, and politicians throughout America who hate the Gospel are using feigned faith as a political cudgel. It is disgusting beyond belief. OUT.

As the Pentagon purges some minorities and women from high-ranking positions, the message being sent to lower-ranking officers is that “they will be assessed on the basis of their gender, race, or politics, rather than their abilities,” @AdamSerwer writes: theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/04/…

Of course he’s a fucking ADA officer…… this is the kind of crybaby baby back bullshit I dealt with for years. Originally shared by @usawtfm . Hey @SecWar you want to improve morale? Remove senior leaders in units (especially those whose job is to shoot down planes and missiles) who think that this political correctness makes us a better fighting force. This dude gotta go.

For the first time ever, the most famous American in the world is not the president or a Hollywood icon or tech billionaire—it’s the Pope. This is more than a Catholic triumph; it’s a cultural watershed for the United States. In a society that often equates American influence with might or money or celebrity, now our foremost representative on the global stage is a humble man in a white cassock, preaching love, justice, and mercy. @Microinteracti1 Ask retired Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling how many wars he has won and why his troops despised him when he was a division commander in Iraq. It's the failed generals like Hertling that SecWar is replacing, and they HATE it.

Retired Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling is not mincing words. The former Commanding General of US Army Europe says these generals were purged because they stood up against Pete Hegseth’s push to turn the US military into a Christian nationalist crusade. Retired Army Maj. Gen. Randy Manner says dozens of chaplains who don’t share Hegseth’s views are being marginalized and excluded from staff meetings. The chaplain corps exists to serve all service members regardless of faith. That apparently made Green’s position untenable. The Pope has now weighed in. Hegseth’s prayer for battlefield violence prompted a response from Rome: God does not listen to those who wage war in his name. Hertling has seen enough. So have the troops. The issue with many modern GOFOs is that they were selected and conditioned for decades inside a system that treats any deviation from the approved, measured, institutionally safe style as a foreign body that must be attacked, isolated, or purged. That’s why the reaction to Hegseth (and to any leader like him) is so visceral, automatic, and spiteful. It’s not disagreement. It’s an immune response. Ask the COVID crowd who was kicked out of service in no time at all. Or anyone who's experienced lawfare at the hands of their pens. Why do you think they lose? Because their worldview is inflexible. This is what makes them lack creativity in battle. It translates directly to every other facet of their being. The only thing they're conditioned to win is the bureaucracy. The only way to break up the system is to upend it. We've done it before with Marshall. Haven't done it since. So we get what we pay for. And we get what we tolerate. We get thinly veiled partisan actors in uniform. And openly partisan venomous snakes when retired. We will continue to experience this phenomenon until we learn to punish behavior that's bad, and reward behavior that's good.
Derrick Van Orden@derrickvanorden

This Major General has never seen a war he did not want to lose. @SecWar fights to win. This Major General fights to whine. GWOT vets stand with Pete.

They were preparing to put her in aged care. Memory loss. Confusion. Leaving the iron on. Her husband thought it was Alzheimer’s…until they found out the real cause. She’d been on cholesterol-lowering meds for 10 years. Lipitor. And after just 3 days off? Her memory started coming back. He said: “I’ve got my wife back.” How many people are suffering needlessly from memory loss, dementia, even Alzheimer’s — Not from aging… But from a medication they were told would “protect” them? The side effects are real: 🧠 Dementia 💪 Muscle wasting 🧬 Alzheimer’s 💔 And now even breast cancer This isn’t rare — it’s happening all around us.

@Aaron4fl6 @j_fishback It is home rule. Local jurisdictions can establish zoning uses. This was verified by the US Supreme Court in The Amber Really Company vs The Town of Euclid 1926.

Christianity is under attack in Florida. Florida needs a governor who will support my Christian faith. ✝️ I ask my friend @j_fishback to step up and speak out against this madness.

A priest in Florida faces a fine of over $500,000 for feeding the homeless. Rezoning led to Father Bob's soup kitchen being suddenly ruled illegal to run in 2014, but he's kept going for the past 12 years and refuses to stop helping others.

Thomas Haugh received extra contact from Jalen Washington after the play, which easily could have been a foul. Instead, Haugh's called for a foul on Washington at the other end for much less contact. Sums up Florida's day so far.

I believe in the Bill of Rights and I’m a hunter…but it doesn’t make sense that anyone can have magazines of 30 round freely…but then people in USA go to jail for distributing water and food in the streets…really?
Ford Fischer@FordFischer

Right now: Pro-gun activists hand out free 30-round AR-15 magazines outside the Virginia State Capitol ahead of the likely signature of a bill that would ban the sale of these magazines in the state.
