@seandockray @camerontw Right. I wasn't really supporting B vs D, but more voicing something that's been on my mind about the limits of tech critique (my own and others). Put another way: is there a role for tech that deftly avoids the minefield of anti-tech and technosolutionism and accelerationism.

@seandockray This isn’t an argument for NFTs (I mentioned AI) rather practical engagement with the economy and tech developments as is. If my predominantly US/UK readers think radical state arts support/rent relief is on horizon we aren’t looking at the same cards!

I don’t think the web 2 music economy is recoverable, but I do think the AI paradigm that may likely displace current habits is ripe for imaginative ideas to support artists.

You know the genre; “we don’t need more tech, we need the state to pay artists/lower rents/eliminate school fees/make me pancakes”. Sounds nice, but not on the cards. There are new internets being built that want your participation and ideas.
