Getting back to it It's been a tricky and busy start to 2026 but I'm recommitted to building in public Starting today when everyone else is on holiday in the UK

@robj3d3 You've still made a great business and I'm sure you'll turn the numbers around – you got this Worth remembering that Rob two years ago would've been elated to do $22k in a month Hope the other life stuff also works out okay

I got my first paying users for MoodMark. I can't believe it's happening. I can't believe it's happening to *me*. Eternally happy right now 🥹

Will someone PLEASE explain how I can set up an iOS app intent so that opening an app (e.g. instagram) opens my app before renavigating to the original app WITHOUT getting stuck in an infinite loop between the two apps that makes me want to throw my phone at the wall I can't take it anymore

Before sleep I built a stock-market style heatmap… for startups. But instead of stock prices it's real MRR from the TrustMRR API from @marclou • tile size = MRR • color = 30-day growth rate • Bulls vs Bears toggle • filter by category You can literally see who's printing money. There’s also a fun mini-game with Donald Trump in there 😄 it was so fun link in comment👇

I'm building a new project and aim to finish v1 by the end of the weekend What should I use to help me write the code? Trying Gemini Code assistant in VS code atm but it doesn't feel like the best solution

My projects were used across the world in 2025 I made a total of £0 (which is $0 or €0, if anyone overseas is wondering) Going into 2026, I'm going to focus on a project that has a cost to fulfil so either going to see zero users or, hopefully, my first project with revenue

This Christmas, I skipped the usual present panic 🎄 Instead of buying something last minute, I surprised my partner with a personalised quiz about us. She loves the Friday news quiz, and that sparked the idea for Friday Quiz Club - a simple way to create quizzes as gifts and schedule them for meaningful dates like Christmas morning. It’s playful, thoughtful, and something we actually enjoy together - not another thing collecting dust. Turns out, the most memorable gifts don’t always come in boxes ✨ PS: You can even add a link or PDF at the end of the quiz, perfect for sneaking in concert tickets or a festive surprise. Try it for free → fridayquizclub.com

@TimoBuilds_ Going to give this a go! Is the idea for this one that you follow your thoughts and think, rather than a more meditative clearing of the mind?

Tried it for 15 minutes. Just me, a couch, and no phone. Here’s what happened: → Sat in silence, stared around the room → Got bombarded with thoughts I wanted to write down → Resisted. Stayed seated. Wanted to quit halfway. Got bored. Stayed anyway. Then something shifted: → Why am I stuck on my apps? → How will that client project go? → Why am I juggling everything at once? → Why not just go step by step at the side hustle while juggling the team lead, kid, wife and house? The urge to grab my phone? Constant. But letting my mind wander freely was probably the best thing I did today. Try it. No input. No distraction. Just you and your thoughts. It’s wildly uncomfortable. But that’s exactly why it works. Get out of your comfort zone. 15 minutes. No phone. Then share what came up. I’ll read every post and reply.

Probably the best video I’ve seen this year. No wonder it got 10M+ views. Harvard nailed it. In just 5 minutes: → Why we hate boredom so much → Why people in a study chose electric shocks over sitting still for 15 minutes → And why boredom might be the missing key to meaning in your life What I’ve learned: 1/ Put your phone down. 2/ Be bored. Let your mind wander. 3/ That’s where clarity begins. Video below 👇🏻

4 days ago I quit everything ❌❌ I quit: - my apartment - my job - my contracts - my home base (kept my girlfriend though because she's amazing, shoutout to her) Left the county I lived in for the past 30 years and flew to another continent to build from the ground up again

People say I'm privileged. Yeah leaving your home town at 18 is a privilege. Because you worked your ass off to move unis to one of the best ones in country... prepared for extra exams to be accepted.. fought for the grades so you cut the competition... Yeah leaving your home country is a privilege.. when you spent YEARS preparing for exams, getting relevant internships and building your extracurriculars to get into this great business school in london Yeah getting into finance is a privilege.. when you applied to HUNDREDS of banks, faced rejection after rejection and still kept pushing, spent 2-3 years getting rejected from 100% of your applications, and eventually got not one but two offers. Yeah it is a privilege to be able to work on your side hustle and learn hot to code before and after your 9-5 and launch your first SaaS. But wait... no that's a stretch too far haha that one is for sure way easier than everything else I've listed. Just have to have faith, and stay in the game long enough to get where you want to. Trial and mistake over and over till you hit the "jackpot". Except that jackpot is just a series of thousands of mistakes, all stacked up together. Yeah, it is a privilege. ... If that's what you want to call it.
