My wife has spent weeks crocheting a blanket for a colleague’s new born baby who apparently according to the scans was a girl, so loads of pink. Now it’s born her second it’s a boy so she’s been busy adding blue. Now finally it’s finished so maybe I’ll get some attention!

Loving these three vintage magazines called The Embroideress (!) which was part published by a company that produced bleached linens for the work, hence one of them even comes with fabric swatches.

@LillyC076 @elementalvenus @PaulReadGB Absolutely agree. I've had dogs and cats all my adult life; all 'rescued' from barns; coal cellars, etc., and all living to a ripe old age. However rescue centres are seemingly time-wasting, money-making centres. I've never had a single application approved!

It's a great idea, rescue a dog, don't buy a pup. If only it were so easy. My age is wrong. My house is wrong. My car is wrong. My politics are wrong. My activities are wrong. I wouldn't make it through the front door of a rescue centre, despite owning Labradors for decades. No wonder rescue centres struggle to rehome. I'll be going to a reputable breeder.

In an attempt to stave off the boss's approach to Christmas decorating which might best be described as 'tinsel projectile vomiting' we are hanging as many tasteful decs as we can find before he gets going!
