Man cries out after his brother was allegedly beaten mercilessly by Bokku Mart staff for forgetting to pay for one item. His other purchases were taken, and his phone was damaged 💔

This happened to me in SPAR in Lagos around 2020. I had taken a chocolate while I & my sister were shopping. I went to the counter to pay and went back to meet with my sister who was still shopping. When we were about leaving, a man came out of nowhere and asked to see our slip

See dirty Nigerians in the cs siding with the oppressors and you wonder why police shoot and harass people on the streets. lol. I hate you people. Dirty monkeys.

@okparamichael9 After he had paid for everything he bought? It was a small bottle and it wasn't totally in his pocket it was very visible, the security saw it right there, if he wants to still he won't leave it visible

This is not in any way to justify the physical assault he suffered, but why will he start consuming an item he hasn't paid for in a mall? Why did it end up inside his pocket and not in his hand? It's very easy to call out Bokku. But your bro exhibited criminal tendencies. Simple!

@OloriOfOloris The least bokku mart could have down is tell him to pay or return one of the items he paid for and do the subtraction. Why damage his belongings worth over #50,000. @bokkumart ??? You guys should just do the needful before a kind hearted lawyer picks up this case pro bono ?

@OloriOfOloris He has no justification. He shouldn’t have opened any drink before making payment. And, if a customer feels too thirsty/hungry, and cannot wait to be attended to by the cashier, they should remain mindful of their actions & make sure the item is added to their cart for payment.

Today, 21st March 2026 at about 8:57pm, my HEAVILY PREGNANT wife entered @bokkumart (Adetola St, Onikoyi junction, Aguda, Surulere) while I went to find parking so I could join her and spare her the queue. I returned at about 9:01pm, a minute after closing, and told this security man through the glass that my wife was inside and I needed to help her, but he remained adamant he'd closed, while he went on shutting the doors. Almost immediately, I saw my wife through the glass explaining to him inside, and he could clearly see how heavy she was. A staff later let me in, while I asked her to step out and wait in the car. Without remorse, this same security man stood close and insisted they’d closed. Appalled by his inhumane behavior, I decided to walk away after explaining what happened to those who cared to listen. @BokkuMart , I need immediate action on this security man or I keep pushing this post. That is me talking, bokku mart really escalated a matter that could have been settled with communication, my brother phoned that they damaged, his power bank, the stuffs he bought from them and the cash that was with him. They forcefully took it and it's still in their custody!
