@johnpauldickson God's commands about church order are every bit as moral as Leviticus and the Sermon on the Mount. Teachers (in pulpits and classrooms) will be held to a higher standard of accountability for promoting the violation of God's commands, John. How far Wheaton has fallen.

Why some of us can rejoice in women “pastors” even if we pretty much disagree with the idea. First, take a less fraught example: baptism. Suppose you’re 80% convinced the Bible endorses only believer’s baptism, not infant baptism. That still means you think there’s a half-decent chance you could be wrong. Since this is a matter of church order rather than morality, perhaps that possibility should be enough to let you attend the baptism of your friends’ infant child and even find some joy in it. After all, there’s a meaningful chance this practice is biblical, as many thoughtful, biblically serious Christians believe. Likewise, suppose you’re 80% convinced the Bible restricts women from doing pastor-like things. That still means you think there’s a half-decent chance you could be wrong. Since this too is a matter of church order rather than morality, perhaps that possibility should be enough to let you sit under the preaching and ministry of a gifted woman and maybe even find some blessing in it. After all, there’s a meaningful chance this too is biblical, as many thoughtful, biblically serious Christians believe. At least, that’s how I’ve come to think about it.

John Calvin on Jesus blessing the infants brought to him: "To exclude from the grace of redemption those who are of that age would be too cruel; and therefore it is not without reason that we employ this passage as a shield against the Anabaptists. They refuse baptism to infants, because infants are incapable of understanding that mystery which is denoted by it. We, on the other hand, maintain that, since baptism is the pledge and figure of the forgiveness of sins, and likewise of adoption by God, it ought not to be denied to infants, whom God adopts and washes with the blood of his Son. Their objection, that repentance and newness of life are also denoted by it, is easily answered. Infants are renewed by the Spirit of God, according to the capacity of their age, till that power which was concealed within them grows by degrees, and becomes fully manifest at the proper time. Again, when they argue that there is no other way in which we are reconciled to God, and become heirs of adoption, than by faith, we admit this as to adults, but, with respect to infants, this passage demonstrates it to be false. Certainly, the laying on of hands was not a trifling or empty sign, and the prayers of Christ were not idly wasted in air. But he could not present the infants solemnly to God without giving them purity. And for what did he pray for them, but that they might be received into the number of the children of God? Hence it follows, that they were renewed by the Spirit to the hope of salvation. In short, by embracing them, he testified that they were reckoned by Christ among his flock. And if they were partakers of the spiritual gifts, which are represented by Baptism, it is unreasonable that they should be deprived of the outward sign. But it is presumption and sacrilege to drive far from the fold of Christ those whom he cherishes in his bosom, and to shut the door, and exclude as strangers those whom he does not wish to be forbidden to come to him."

🚨 Sheridan Gorman's father is absolutely TORCHING Democrats on stage with Trump "I'm not a politician. I'm not a public speaker. I'm a father whose daughter was MURDERED by an illegal." "I'm a husband who had to hold his wife on Mother's Day when she asked the question no mother should ever have to ask: "am I still the mother of two?" "Yes, Jess, you're still the mother of two because Sheridan will always be our daughter. No mother should ever have to ask that question, and no father should ever have to answer it. This is what FAILED POLICIES have done to our family." "NO FAMILY should have to become experts in immigration failures, release policies, warrants, sanctuary laws, enforcement breakdowns because their daughter was KlLLED by someone who should NOT have been here, and should NOT be free."

🚨The Minnesota fraud empire is falling: Yesterday 15 fraudsters were charged and $90 million was busted. The MSM tried to cover for the fraudsters. @GovTimWalz called it "white supremacy" to expose it and @IlhanMN is completely SILENT. Independent journalism defeated an entire fraud network upheld by billions of dollars with support from corrupt politicians who allowed this fraud and the MSM who failed to report it. Major win for America and hardworking law-abiding taxpaying citizens. This is just the beginning. Arrest them all.

If that addict on your street were your own son, what would you do? That is the defining question that guides my 5 step plan to fix the homelessness problem in LA. We *must* end this evil racket of corrupt politicians and NGOs who profit off the misery of these poor souls. They launder money and feed them more drugs, so they can keep their customers locked in this hell on our streets. We have a moral obligation from God to help them and make our city safe and clean for everyone. Karen Bass and Nithya Raman have forsaken this city. Time for real leadership. Time for real compassion.

Nothing will shape your worldview as much as simply reading how humans from the past thought. You realize very quickly that our time is a radical anomaly in human history.

A lot of Americans remember Sears as a dying store in a half-empty mall. That’s not what Sears was. Sears was how American factories entered ordinary houses. Kenmore in the kitchen. Craftsman in the garage. DieHard under the hood. Coldspot humming in the corner. Lawn tractors in sheds. Socket sets in drawers that nobody was allowed to lose. It was basements, workbenches, catalogs, part numbers, repairmen, delivery trucks, credit accounts, and old men who could hear a washer struggling before it finally quit. A kid could flip through the Wish Book and learn what adulthood looked like. Tools. Appliances. Work boots. School clothes. A bicycle. Sometimes even a whole house ordered by mail and built piece by piece after the materials came in by rail. That was the part Sears understood. America was full of people trying to build stable lives with practical things. Then the practical world got replaced by a disposable one. The catalogs vanished. The stores hollowed out. Manufacturing moved overseas. Repair got expensive. Replacement got cheap. The people who knew how everything worked got older, retired, or died, and a lot of what they knew went with them. People call it the death of a department store. I don’t. Sears was one of the last national systems that still assumed ordinary Americans should know how to maintain the world around them instead of just replacing it. That’s the strange poverty nobody talks about now. Not having fewer things. Having more than ever and understanding almost none of them.

I am a J6er. I protested a stolen election. Walked right past the police through an open door, and the police let me in. My father's step son turned me into the FBI. My house was raided. They branded me a traitor, and insurrectionist, slapped me on a terrorist watchlist. I plead guilty to illegal picketing, a Class B petty offense misdemeanor with the same sentencing guidelines as walking your dog off leash on a National Park . They swore no prison time. They lied. Judge Hogan sentenced me to 30 days for “not being remorseful enough” and three years’ probation to tie me up through elections. An unconstitutional "split" sentence. My Judge, Judge Hogan called J6 worse than the war of 1812. All I did was chant "Stop the Steal!" inside the Capitol and wear the wrong Tshirt. God Bless the J6ers!
