In response to Trump’s attempts to sow division in Iran, all senior Iranian officials jointly published a tweet tonight, stating that in Iran, there is no such thing as extremist or moderate; we are all resistant and resilient Iranians. With the extraordinary unity of the nation and state institutions, and in full support of Ayatollah Khamenei, the Iranian people will make the criminal aggressor regret his actions. One God, one leader, one nation, and one path — the path to victory for the Islamic Republic, more precious to us than life itself.

Earlier today, I paid a courtesy visit to @IRAN_GHANA and I signed the condolence register for Ayatollah Ali Hosseini Khamenei.
The global story of anti-imperial resistance and self-reliance cannot be told without Khamenei and the Iranian revolution he was a key part of.

@YOLICOM6 Please, elaborate on how Islam has denied you your self-worth, dignity and freedom which you somehow connected to spirituality.
And please ma'am, there is a big difference between Yoruba theological worldview from which it's spirituality emerge and Yoruba traditions.
English

One of the reasons I stepped away from Abrahamic (Christianity and Islam)
religion was the way women are often positioned within it.
I was raised a Muslim, went to Christian primary school and a Catholic secondary school.
For me, faith must uplift not diminish. Any belief system that does not fully respect my dignity, agency, and humanity as a woman cannot be a spiritual home for me.
Spirituality, in my understanding, should bring alignment, peace, and wholeness. It should not require a woman to shrink herself in order to belong.
This is one of the reasons I feel deeply connected to Yoruba tradition.
Yoruba spirituality recognizes the concept of Ori, the understanding that every individual carries personal destiny and divine authority within. That idea alone affirms autonomy, responsibility, and self-worth.
Within this worldview, women are not spiritual afterthoughts. Feminine power exists openly through orisa traditions, leadership roles, priesthood, wisdom, and balance between masculine and feminine forces.
It acknowledges that women are complete beings, capable of authority, insight, and spiritual agency.
For me, spirituality must respect who I am fully and unapologetically.
A spirituality that honors Ori teaches responsibility to self, integrity toward others, and reverence for one’s existence.
It reminds me that I do not need permission to exist with dignity, nor must I diminish my womanhood to prove devotion.
For me, Yoruba spirituality is not simply tradition, it is remembrance. A remembrance that my voice matters, my autonomy matters, and my existence as a woman is sacred, not secondary.
Any path that allows me to stand whole, peaceful, and unapologetically aligned with myself is the path I will continue to walk. Titilola Damilola

@SirJarus Qur'an did not only mention it, but also beautifully explain the concept. Sectarianism and Bigotry is what made the school of thought you follow to suppress it as part of clear Islamic concept.

I have been a Muslim for 43+ years.
I have been learning about Islam since at least 8 years old (ile kewu, waasi in our house etc).
Not once did any Muslim cleric talk about this taqiya thing.
Heard it for the first time on Nairaland from non-Muslims in online discussions about 10 years ago. I had to go and Google what it means.
Never heard of it from in Muslim teaching in 40+ years.
I always laugh when I see it mentioned online.

Funnily, I heard the word Taqiya first on twitter 😂😂 Iro buruku yi noni

JUST IN 🇮🇷: EXPOSING THE PAHLAVI “GOLDEN AGE” MYTH
For years, some claim pre-1979 Iran was a modern paradise. The data tells a different story.
📊 Life expectancy in the final Pahlavi years sat around 55–57 years, under 60. Neighboring Turkey and Iraq were already in the 60–65 range.
👶 More than 100 out of every 1,000 infants died. That is roughly 10 percent infant mortality. Iraq was about 62. Kuwait about 38.
🏥 UN assessments cited poverty, malnutrition, poor childbirth hygiene, and lack of widespread vaccination as major factors.
Fast forward. UN 2025 figures place Iran’s life expectancy near 78 years, one of the strongest gains in the region.
Modernization for elites is not the same as development for a population. Statistics cut through nostalgia.

@ejmalrai Shame on the Lebanese Western puppet government. 😒

Israel is bombing Lebanon and in particular the Bekaa Valley as a preparation for a much wider bombardment expected, according to sources, in the coming days and in particular if the war against Iran won't happen.
So no war on Iran mean, Israel will attack numerous targets in Lebanon. What can this trigger? Not clear yet if Hezbollah will respond.
Israel has started several days ago against the missile unit in the Bekaa days ago and that was an indication to different sources of the Israeli intentions.
Personally, it is not clear yet to me what is Israel's achievable objective.

@SprinterPress Israel (a.ka US) is definitely not interested in any deal. If there is no war, then these ding dong affairs will consume the remaining Mr Tariff's dictatorship term.

The US demands that Iran dismantle key nuclear facilities, renounce all enriched uranium, and accept a permanent agreement on zero enrichment"
This is how The Wall Street Journal presents the US's negotiating position, noting that Iran wants to retain some enrichment capabilities and is seeking significant sanctions relief.
UPD. The US demands presented to Iran in Geneva, according to WSJ:
Destroy all three nuclear facilities: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan
Deliver all enriched uranium to the United States
No provisions for gradual sanctions lifting
Zero enrichment, but Iran can keep the Tehran research reactor
Minimal sanctions relief initially; more if Iran complies with conditions.

@Tracking_Power @Kathleen_Tyson_ Their argument has always been that "God" gifted (someone else's) land to them. Hence, the licence to exterminate anyone on the "gifted" land. Madness at its peak!

Is it better to pray before breaking your fast?
Imam Al-Baqir states:
In Ramadan, you pray and then break your fast — unless you are with a group who are waiting to break the fast. If you are with them, then do not oppose them; break your fast and then pray. Otherwise, begin with the prayer.”
It was said: Why is that?
He (ʿa) replied:
“Because two obligations have come upon you: breaking the fast and the prayer. So begin with the better of the two — and the better of them is the prayer.”
Then he (ʿa) said:
“You pray while you are still fasting, and that prayer is recorded for you as such. That you conclude with fasting (i.e., end your day in a state of fasting and worship) is more beloved to me.”
