@geoffa They get to catch the fish and have the fun too. We just become the energy source.

@danielchooper I found email customer support to be pretty rewarding. The most passionate (rude) folks often love your product but have ran into a problem and assume no one is going to listen/help. One helpful response and they typically change their tune completely.

Because so many people use several streaming TV apps across multiple platforms, the small differences and inconsistencies between apps sometimes feel like death by a thousand cuts. I’d love your thoughts on this new series on designing streaming TV apps we’ve been working on.

@siracusa Thanks for sharing this John! That Hulu reader story is so frustrating. I have an upcoming post on app exiting behavior where I discuss state retention and the Continue Watching row. I may add a link in that section to this post.

@bump @RayDalio What did you think of Dalio's book? I listened to his @ArmchairExpPod episode and was impressed by his perspective on the economy and world events.

@philwilson @siracusa This is excellent! Thanks for sharing. I’ll be covering a lot of John touches on. The series of articles I’m working on has around 15 topics at the moment and for better or worse, the ones I’ve finished are each as lengthy as the post on top and left menu navigation.

@jamesmiller I think the best way to look at it is that we are still in the infancy of streaming TV. There is a lot of room for everyone to learn and improve. The question is, will we? I’m attempting to be optimistic. As someone who uses these apps, I want to see a better experience.

@thaniya Yeah, I’ve done that as well. It never seems to work out great for me. I have the rusty account on Square and have people constantly sending me money that I have to cancel. 😄

@thaniya I think my next social network is going to be no social network.
