WAMUNYORO DESK is picking this evening, at one of the hotels along Kiambu Road, an emissary of 5 MPs, led by an MP from Kiambu and accompanied by two State officials, reportedly met Kiambaa MP to deliver what insiders describe as a warning.
The meeting, which lasted less than 15 minutes, allegedly ended abruptly after the Kiambaa MP furiously walked out. What had begun as a light Friday evening conversation reportedly quickly turned tense.
According to sources, one of the leaders had called Kawanjiku earlier in the evening to inquire about his whereabouts. Thinking it was one of their usual Friday meetups, he reportedly agreed to join them. Drinks were served, laughter filled the table, and the atmosphere appeared normal, until he was informed that two State operatives and senatorial aspirant Kogi would also be joining them, though Kogi was said to have been delayed by Friday traffic.
After Kogi’s delay, the two operatives allegedly arrived and the tone of the conversation immediately changed. The MPs reportedly informed Kawanjiku that his recent social media statement countering Hassan Omar’s remarks on Kikuyus had not gone down well with the highest office in the land.
He was allegedly told that it was not his place to counter statements made in the presence of the president if the president himself had no issue with them. Sources further claim he was warned of immediate consequences, including allegedly refunding KSh 10million he had reportedly received from 'the house on the hill the previious week.
Throughout most of the exchange, Kawanjiku reportedly remained quiet. However, the situation is said to have escalated when he was allegedly asked to delete the posts from his social media accounts in their presence. At that point, he reportedly banged the table and responded angrily..
"Heri nikufe nikitetea watu wetu, lakini hizi vitisho zenu msiniletee. Kwani huyo Hassan Omar ni nani?'
The shouting reportedly attracted the attention of people inside the hotel as Kawanjiku stormed out. At the entrance, he allegedly crossed paths with Kogi, who reportedly hesitated to enter after noticing the tension. Before he could decide whether to enter or leave, the other MPs and the operatives were already walking out as the commotion had drawn attention across the hotel.
The '41 vrs 1' strategy appears increasingly calculated. Notably, no Mt Kenya MP, CS, or close ally of Kasongo except Kawanjiku & Kogi has publicly condemned Hassan Omar’s ethnic remarks.

There is nothing wrong in an Advocate seeking to see a Judge in Chambers in pursuit of justice. All that is needed is for the Deputy Registrar and/or the Judge’s Clerk to be present to witness the proceedings. The reprimand of Steve Ogola was unnecessary and uncalled for. Judges should not think they are Kings and Queens of England.

Matatu sector leaders were each given KSh 500,000 in a quiet deal reportedly facilitated through Governor Sakaja.
With about 30 leaders involved, the total payout is said to be around KSh 15 million.
I am also told flight tickets have been booked for them to travel to Mombasa for a meeting with President William Ruto.

#KENYA: COURT SUSPENDS APPOINTMENT OF ADAN MOHAMED AS KRA COMMISSIONER GENERAL The High Court has suspended the appointment of Adan Mohamed as Commissioner General of the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) after a petition challenging his appointment was certified urgent. The ruling, delivered Tuesday, halts the implementation of Mohamed’s appointment announced yesterday, pending a full hearing of the case. The petitioner argued that the recruitment process was irregular and sought conservatory orders to prevent him from assuming office. The court directed that the matter be heard expeditiously, with parties expected to file responses ahead of the substantive hearing.

The debate between Gen Zs and millennials is totally imbalanced because we are comparing people at very different stages of life, under very different burdens, and then pretending the answers are already clear.
Gen Zs are right to say they are bold, outspoken and less willing to tolerate humiliation, especially in workplaces, politics and society. That is a good thing, and Kenya has benefited from that courage. But millennials are also not weak simply because many learnt how to endure bad systems, survive quietly, keep jobs, swallow pride and carry responsibilities without making noise every day.
The truth is that we may not get the real answer now. We will only know when Gen Zs are in their 30s and 40s, with children in school, ageing parents to support, rent or mortgages to pay, medical bills arriving without warning, loans hanging over them, and entire households depending on one salary.
That is when life tests political courage, workplace courage and social courage differently. It is easy to say people should walk away from oppressive spaces when you are mostly carrying yourself. It becomes more complicated when your resignation, rebellion or public confrontation can immediately affect your children, your parents, your spouse and everyone who eats from your table.
So maybe millennials were tough in survival while Gen Zs are tough in confrontation, but the debate is not complete until both generations have faced the same weight of adult responsibility.
Let us wait and see whether the same fire remains when life adds school fees, hospital bills, dependants, debt and the fear of one wrong move collapsing a whole family.
Until then, this argument is interesting, but it is not settled......
