These three are grassroots community organizers and human rights defenders. They are our friends, they are our comrades, @DCI_Kenya are trying to frame innocent, peaceful Kenyans. You know who the real goons are, you know their names and addresses and those who hired them. @kipmurkomen, must be held responsible for state-directed and protected high level crime targeting businesses, women, and peaceful protestors. @NPSOfficial_KE must be held responsible for protecting goons and thugs, murdering more Kenyans, and collaborating with the state in these cover-ups and continued extrajudicial killings. #FreeOurComrades #StopCriminalizingActivists Release our friends and arrest the real criminals‼️

This Madaraka Day, I dedicate it to Rose Njeri - the brilliant young lady who created a website to help Kenyans contribute to the Finance Bill 2025 public participation exercise. Instead of awarding her on this Madarak Day, they’ve thrown her in police cells and refused to grant her bail. This Madarak Day we say “Not Yet Madaraka” #FreeRoseNjeri

Tupo site. Kimathi Day 2025 #KimathiLives

“I have committed my life to the liberation of our people, and I will never retreat.” #KimathiLives Tomorrow marks 68 years since Dedan Kimathi was executed. Devastating stories of concentration camps, torture, rape, mass murder and dehumanization of our people must be recognized and honoured from the historic journey of the liberation of this country. Uncovering archives and stories of the atrocities of the British Colonial Rule, the heroic struggle of our ancestors, as well as the realities of the Mau Mau survivors, ‘Our Land, Our Freedom’ is an essential documentary to bring into our current dialogue and strategic action towards the future Kenya we continue to fight for. Everyone is welcome tomorrow evening. Asante sana @mageuzihub for contributing the space for the screening and to @zippy and @ourlandourfreedom for the work they put into this film, and availing it to me to share. 📍Mageuzi Hub, Kilimani ⏰ 7:30pm 🍹Bring your own refreshments 🎟️ Entry: The pursuit of freedom May we continue to learn from and live in solidarity with all those who currently and historically have put the liberation of their people and their land first. ✊🏾🇰🇪❣️

#KimathiLives On our Journey for National Liberation. ✊🏾🇰🇪❣️ In honour, gratitude & courage, let us also reflect on an excerpt from the Mau Mau Oath…”I swear in the name of our country, in the name of this movement, that I will use all my power for the total liberation of Kenya from British Imperialism, sacrificing my own and my family’s lives. I shall never reveal the names of the members of this movement nor those of the leaders, even if I am caught, tortured or killed. I shall always be loyal to the leaders of the movement. If I betray this vow, I shall deserve every punishment meted out to me as a traitor.” The sacrifices by the Mau Mau and historic freedom fighters must continue to be recognized and honoured as the journey and of Kenya’s liberation continues. From the Mau Mau, DTM, MultiParty Era, Constitution 2010 and the Gen Z uprising. What is our way forward from here? Join us on 18th February as we commemorate & honour Kimathi Day with Artistic expressions, Solidarity Statements, Intergenerational Conversations and much more! Artists who are interested in sharing their expressions are very welcome to register on the day of, listen to and share your voice 🗣️🫶🏾✨ #KimathiDay #TeamCourage
