As researchers, it is not enough to apply a set of skills to some problem. Mathematics is too often used as a shield for corrupt practices. Ethics must always be at the forefront of our minds.

Our ideas about science and tech come from a small, homogenous group of people. Think about who was at the table at the 1956 Dartmouth workshop. We can and must do better. DEI efforts will welcome diverse voices and ideas, but that's only half the battle. It's time to listen!
