I've pulled the pin on my Italy holiday but annoyed because the extra $700 I paid for choice of plane seat is considered 'ancillary' and is not part of the amount refunded. Yes I'm grateful that I can get any sort of a refund but to exclude this is pretty bloody disingenuous

@selga55 It's getting stuck without my family for an indeterminate period of time that I'm concerned about. Im booked with Qatar so that's concern no. 1. And yes, having your own place there and being with your wife makes a huge difference

Seriously contemplating pulling the pin on going to italy in 4 weeks. I'm going solo and with the orange madman in office, I'm terrified of being stranded overseas... I have about a week to decide before I take an even bigger financial hit.
