If ur arm isn't getting HEALTHIER & STRONGER as the season moves on, then ur prob NOT doing 1 or more of the following: 1) Throwing enough between outings 2) Throwing enough Low-Intent Volume 3) Getting enough Distance in THESE ☝️ 3 lead to GREAT recovery. RECOVERY is ur KEY.

Things like proper relays, defensive positioning, fielding bunts properly, going 1st-to-3rd on the bases, throwing the ball to 2B when the opponent goes 1st-to-3rd and there’s no play, expanding vs tagging on bases, properly backing up bases (especially pitchers), PFPs….

I’m gonna go on a little rant here. You know what gets old? Listening to coaches complain about velocity, exit velocity, launch angle, one-knee down etc etc etc but absolutely 1000% neglecting a boatload of things that will actually lead to more wins. How about addressing….

@VitoQuaglia @CoachSwit 💯 agree there. Baseball shouldn’t run into football. Just looking for a remedy to not be playing baseball games 1 week into mandatories especially in 30 degree weather. Spring championships need to be pushed back. That seems to be the best way

@CoachSwit @selwonk89 So many athletes in northeast play baseball and football. Why make them choose one? Move spring sports seasons back a few weeks. The school year can go until June 30 if they needed to… So why can’t state championships be the LAST week in June??

High School Baseball in the Northeast Has anyone thought about HS Baseball in the Fall then Spring? April 35–45° vs fall 60–70° isn’t close. • Arms not rushed • Better early games • Higher quality • Less injury risk Wouldn’t Fall be better? Thoughts?

HS baseball is starting in the Northeast… How many coaches are running their ace out for 100–110 pitches on Opening Day? Not me. Cold weather. Early season. Long year ahead.

5 things coaches don’t like: 1. Excuses. 2. Entitlement. 3. Anti-team behavior. 4. Poor body language. 5. Blaming refs and teammates. Coaches can handle mistakes. They can’t handle losing mindsets.

Lesson for new head coaches: You can do everything in your power to do the right things for your program/players. But it’s impossible to make everyone happy. A team full of different people all have different expectations & you can’t meet them all. It’s ok. Just do your best!🙂

A coach who holds you accountable sees more in you than you currently see in yourself. That is not mean. That is a gift.

Let’s try again. As someone who played the game and now coaches it… it’s always interesting hearing the loudest experts in the stands. Never filled out a lineup. Never called a pitch. Never had to look players in the eye after a tough decision. But they’ve got all the answers.

There is no coach at any level in any country that cares about the exit velocity on the game winning hit.

As HS baseball starts in the Northeast, some coaches run their ace to 110 pitches Day 1… then back out every 5th day to max him again. It’s also 40° degrees Building for June — or burning him out by May? Developing depth… or riding one arm? Thoughts?
