@morgvanny @ratlimit I find that I’ve become skeptical of materialism, but also I think it’s very plausible that humans simply have developed a rational understanding that Apes haven’t yet. I don’t think it’s impossible for another animal to be a moral agent, it just hasn’t happened yet.

@Diddymilton @VeeEmYou Emma Seligman made shiva baby in her 20s, curry barker made obsession in his 20s, plus backrooms off the top of my head. Creators are still able to make projects. There’s no reason to think in the 90s young people had an easier time getting projects.

@GamboPocket @VeeEmYou Young people have never been able to get a multi million dollar project greenlit Willy nilly, it’s always been a big deal. Lena Dunham wrote that HBO offering her a pilot at 23 in 2014 was extremely rare. Seems like it’s just always been the case

@GamboPocket @VeeEmYou I mean there’s no real data out there about this so it’s hard to make a statement either way. But just anecdotally there doesn’t seem to be a dearth of young creators getting projects greenlit compared to the 90s. Obsession comes to mind as well
