Bringing these tankers to Eielson, joining Alaska’s more than 100 fifth-generation fighter aircraft—the most of any place on the planet—has been something I’ve been working on relentlessly for more than 10 years. This marks another exciting chapter in the historic military build-up we’ve achieved in Alaska over the past decade!

Had a great time touring UAA’s forthcoming Alaska Leadership Archive! This archive builds on the UAA/APU Consortium Library’s collection of works from more than 130 leaders across Alaska’s history, with additions from Senator Ted Stevens gifted through the Ted Stevens Foundation, as well as Alaska Native leaders, elected officials, and business and community leaders. I’m a huge proponent of our university system and maintaining its strong federal support to help develop the next generation of Alaska’s leaders. Looking forward to coming back when the archive officially opens!

Americans woke this Easter Sunday to the good news of a U.S. Air Force pilot being rescued in a daring mission. The details are still coming out, but the bravery, heroism, and professionalism of our military are once again on display for all Americans to respect and be proud of. We are an exceptional nation for many reasons. One is our very professional and brave military, which is imbued with the ethos of never leaving a fellow service member behind. As was demonstrated by this latest mission, our military will risk the lives of dozens of its members to save the life of just one of its own. Exceptional. God bless our troops this Easter.

It’s been a cold winter in Alaska with diesel engines shutting down across the state because of one-size-fits-all diesel regs. My Cold Weather Diesel Reliability Act will fix this!

Had a great time at the Museum of the North at UAF—home to an intact skeleton of a bowhead whale! The Fairbanks community welcomed top U.S. Army officials for an Arctic capabilities reception. Thank you again UAF staff, faculty, leadership and the Fairbanks community for making this special night happen!

It was great joining so many community members at UAF’s Museum of the North to welcome top Army officials to Fairbanks! In the years following the Cold War, the Pentagon forgot about Alaska’s importance to our national security and planned on scaling down the military’s presence in our state. But we fought back. Now, we are undergoing the biggest military buildup in our state since WWII! Thanks to all the staff, faculty and leadership at UAF for such a special night and for your work in collaborating with our military to strengthen Arctic security.

With the Working Families Tax Cuts Act and my CRA, we put certainty back into law. That drives investment into our state from oil and gas companies, both big and small. We saw this success with the historic NPR-A lease sale a few weeks ago. These investments will mean thousands of jobs and billions in revenue for Alaska.

The Trump Admin has heard the concerns of farmers and truckers about Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) system failures and we’re taking action: ✅ Reversed DEF Deratements ✅ Restored Right to Repair ✅ Demanded necessary info from manufacturers about DEF system failures ✅ Issued guidance to remove DEF sensors Soon we’ll be going through new rulemaking to permanently end DEF deratements altogether. Great to be back in NC with local farmers who were burned by DEF system failures, and are relieved we are delivering on their pleas!

This saves lives in Alaska. Now, let’s pass my Cold Weather Diesel Reliability Act so we can ensure a future Democratic admin doesn’t go back to dangerous, out-of-touch, one-size-fits-all policies!

I’ve been fighting this Schumer Shutdown of DHS so hard that I’ve lost my voice! Schumer’s all about shutdowns, especially when it comes to Alaska—which he’s targeted hundreds of times over his 45-year career. But the good news? We’re fighting back. And we’re winning.

Our Asian allies have an opportunity to replace their energy supplies from risky, unstable regions with secure, clean-burning gas from Alaska.

With the conflict in the Middle East driving higher gas prices for hard-working Americans, it's more imperative than ever that we have policies promoting American energy independence and dominance.

Fighting IUU fishing 💪

Voted to confirm my good friend @SenMullin as @DHSgov Secretary tonight! I look forward to working with him on continuing the historic build-up of the @USCG in Alaska—including bringing more icebreakers to our state, aggressively enforcing the ban on Russian seafood imports, and making sure @FEMA is responsive to Alaskans when disasters strike.

This weekend we got my FISH Act passed in the Senate! This bill combats a cancer on Alaska fisheries: illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing by China and Russia. Looking forward to seeing my colleagues in the House get this over the finish line so we can fight back against IUU fishing on behalf of our fishermen and coastal communities. sullivan.senate.gov/newsroom/press…
