A question for all #FSE #BlockTheme #Gutenberg devs: Is there an option in theme.json to specify one of the theme's custom Templates as the default page template? In my case, I would love it to be our Header & Footer only Template. #WordPressCommunity #Question

@DustinWStout @bgardner I like this approach, it's fairly common across design systems. I have also become a fan of "neutral":

@bgardner I'm very happy with my Base verbiage scheme. Base-100 = darkest Base-80 = dark Base-60 = medium dark Base-40 = medium Base-20 = light Base-00 = lightest It's a great system that has worked really well for me. Easy to make the Dark Mode switch too.

PSA: Hell might be freezing over today as I seriously consider embracing the foreground/background color names in theme.json. 🥶

Maybe I missed it, but does a child theme theme.json attributes override the parent per-attribute or is it an all or nothing kinda thing?

In the WordPress editor I also wish we could set font-size on part of the text in paragraph (and likely other) blocks. The same way we can Highlight words, but it would wrap a span with a class or style added. I have to use a Row block just for this… lots of unnecessary markup.

@JiveDig I noticed that top, right, bottom, left are automatically converted to inset when setting the properties with JavaScript. That must only happen when the browser supports it

How did I not know about the "inset" CSS property? Maybe because of the lack of IE support, but who cares about that 🤷‍♂️ css-tricks.com/almanac/proper…
