He pleaded guilty to five counts of lewd acts with a child and received a 10-year suspended sentence, plus lifetime sex offender registration and nearly a decade of probation. Morris, founder of Gateway Church, issued an apology, while the victim plans to pursue further justice in civil court.

NEW: Man who was previously arrested for stabbing his own sister, charged with attempted murder after he shoved a random person toward an oncoming train. Elisio Melendez, 27, was committed to Western State Hospital following the stabbing of his sister in 2019. He was later released after the state of Washington determined he "had progressed enough in treatment to be released."
