🟢 Former Assemblyman Michael Blake hinted he plans to challenge Rep. Ritchie Torres for New York’s 15th Congressional District. In an interview with @zeteo_news’ @mehdirhasan, Blake said he’s looking to “see all the good things we can do for the Bronx,” stopping just short of a formal announcement on Zohran Mamdani’s big night.
He’s been openly critical of Torres’s record, especially his unwavering support for Israel and its ongoing genocide in Gaza. The two previously faced off in 2020, when Blake, a former Obama White House aide and DNC vice chair, finished second to Torres in a crowded primary for the same Bronx seat.
