Thomas Massie for Congress
I filed with FEC for the 2028 House race. This allows me to raise funds to continue my political operations supporting my position as a current office holder and as a potential candidate for federal office. I haven’t made a final decision about which office to seek, if I run.

What time should I expect the sedes to pop up in my feed crashing out about the new encyclical?

@SteveSkojec Fair complaints and concerns. I also think some of the preemptive elements probably need to be tempered by some anchor to the traditional understanding. I haven’t read that far into the encyclical yet, so I can’t comment on the novelty of what +Leo is saying beyond the quote.

@litteraechristi You are correct that there will be a Latin text eventually, and that will be the “official” version appearing in AAS. However, this encyclical was probably written in some combination of Italian and English (depending on how much +Leo wrote himself vs contributions from others).

So there will not be a Latin version of Magnifica Humanitas? Everyone has noticed by now that no Latin version of the new Encyclical has yet appeared. And so people have begun asking: where is the Latin text? Will there even be one? Has the Church abandoned Latin altogether? I do not speak on behalf of the Church, of course, but the reason for the absence of a Latin version is not difficult to guess. For some years now, papal encyclicals have no longer been issued with a typical edition, that is, a definitive Latin text from which all translations are made. Instead, the Holy See now publishes the various vernacular versions simultaneously. Thus the old practice of first issuing an authoritative Latin edition, from which the others would derive, has gradually fallen out of use. So then, will there be a Latin version or not? I am quite certain that one will eventually appear. But when? If previous encyclicals are any guide, the Latin translation is usually published several months later. The chief difficulty is that these newer documents make use of many modern expressions and newly coined terms, so the translator must often devise fresh renderings and even create new vocabulary. And that, naturally, takes time.

@ghayo0da I’ll concede that religious trauma is a real thing if they concede that most of the people who claim to have it don’t, and are just angry that they prefer a lifestyle of selfishness and sin.

@FightForMary @ninetyftaway2 @AlbertKoelner @NEMonarchist I will pray for the consecrations to not happen… but once they do, no “peaceful resolution” can or will be found. The bishops of SSPX will be prescribed their medicinal penalty (of excommunication) in the hopes of a cure. Other SSPX clergy should be prescribed it soon after.

@PaulinusOfTrier Sincere Christians are also revolted by schism. But they should not be offended or revolted when the gravely ill are forced to take their spiritual medicine, which is what excommunication is.

@PaulinusOfTrier I’m sorry that you lot are unable to comprehend anything except strictly literally. You’re more autistic than me, and I’m diagnosed. I won’t literally be toasting the excommunication—in large part because almost nobody else in my close circle actually cares.

@PaulinusOfTrier It’s a grave sin to rejoice regarding mass excommunications. It may even render this person de facto excommunicated themselves. They certainly can’t present themselves for the sacraments for so long as they continue to believe this way.

@TheRiverLock The idea has been floated, but never went anywhere, as the TLM *is* the Roman Rite. In any case, the clerici vagantes of “SSPX” would never be handed the keys to such a hypothetical body.

Asides that this isn't what truly happened and it isn't the same case of the SSPX, it's interesting that no one (as far as I know) has proposed as a solution to establish the Extraordinary Roman rite as a Sui Iuris Church

@FightForMary @NEMonarchist In spite of the good +Lefebvre had done, he was *still wrong* on this matter and his excommunication was both valid and just. Praying for the sinner is not mutually exclusive with also celebrating a just rebuke for the good of their own souls and the good of others’.

The full history of 88… Marcel Lefebvre had a stellar career and brought probably millions of souls to God especially in Africa His act was disobeying but he preserved TLM. What I’m saying is God is merciful and you need to take that into account as God loves TLM. Fast forward to 2026 They have 2 bishops not one, they are warring with Rome on V2, and Fr. Davide is NOT Marcel Lefebvre who did all those great things. They can’t be attacking the “average parish” it’s just not helpful or charitable So my view is 88 was different. 2026 they may get the smack down. I think they should postpone and try to work it out. But we should all pray FOR them for a good resolution. Just as the Leo haters should pray FOR Leo too. Thank you for listening
Warnings from Beyond@Warnings1975

HARSH WORDS ABOUT LEFEBVRE AND THE 1988 CONSECRATIONS THEY SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO THESE EXORCISMS AND STOOD UP NOW LOOK WHERE SSPX IS - NEITHER FISH NOR FOUL IN THE EYES OF GOD May 13, 1989 J: Let us take an example. An antipope sits on the throne in Rome and people think he is the true Pope...! So there are thousands of schisms in the Church, thousands of sects and charismatics, "Catholics" who are in fact Protestants, Lutherans; and then there are Catholics of Tradition according to Archbishop Lefebvre, and then those who separated from him because they wanted to remain faithful to the Pope, or rather the antipope, I should say, and still others who certainly wanted to follow Tradition to some extent, but who mix it with Roman clamor and vociferation, false Roman vociferation; and those who certainly follow Tradition, like the true and authentic priests of Ecône, but who are commanded from above, by their superiors and by certain people who are not well inspired. Archbishop Lefebvre certainly has his way and his rank, but when the priests of Ecône receive orders from ill-inspired superiors, it is not good, and it is not according to the Holy Spirit. ECONE SPLITS - SOME FOR JOHN PAUL II, SOME AGAINT It comes from the fact that they do not want to believe and accept what we demons must continually say or have already had to say, namely that John Paul II is nothing but a false pope, an impostor, a mercenary, and that the true Pope Paul VI is still alive. This comes from the fact that they certainly want to follow Tradition, but as Archbishop Lefebvre Paul II is only a false pope, an impostor, a mercenary, and that the true Pope Paul VI is still alive. This is because they certainly want to follow Tradition, but as Archbishop Lefebvre did last June... That is not in accordance with the Church! If they want to follow traditional discipline concerning the Magisterium by recognizing John Paul II as Pope, then they must not consecrate when he does not allow it. If those in Ecône recognize him as Pope, then what he ordered at that time cannot be wrong. So, if Archbishop Lefebvre thinks he must walk according to ecclesiastical law, the Church, and I don't know what else, he should have accepted that and obeyed. He would now be in disobedience to the Church, one might say, because he is not obeying the one he recognizes as Pope. If he recognizes him and says, "He is our Pope, etc.," then logically he should obey. He cannot recognize him as pope and order other priests to mention him at Mass, etc., and on the other hand not obey him himself; that is paradoxical and double-edged. This is what Ecône has become. They blow two horns, two trumpets. That is why we cannot condemn those who have separated themselves from Ecône, because they hardly know what they should do. They think to themselves: "Why did we used to say that we must obey the Pope and that Rome is the Church, and on the other hand, Archbishop Lefebvre himself no longer obeys and consecrates four bishops whom, according to the Pope, according to the pseudo-pope, he should not have consecrated"? This must have troubled and confused them... Those in Ecône must now refrain from condemning and judging those who are separated from them as if they had defected, as if they had committed a grave injustice and were even on the path to Hell, when they themselves have committed an injustice and are neither in the full Will of God nor in the totality of Truth. These two positions are neither fish nor fowl, that is to say, Archbishop Lefebvre and those of Ecône certainly celebrate Holy Mass truly well and in a manner pleasing to God, but they have become too obstinate, too stubborn on certain points, so that it is no longer exactly the right path. Naturally, it is very difficult for them, in June and already in all the previous months, very difficult to overcome all the obstacles in order to remain on the path pleasing to God and to do what pleased Him. But they do not yet have infused knowledge, and the four cardinal virtues can disappear in them too if they do not do exactly what the Holy Spirit wants and commands. TORN APART BY WOLVES Certainly, they prayed and had others pray, and Archbishop Lefebvre thought carefully, but he was advised by dubious, false people. That is why this could happen. He did not believe that they were false, and thus a great deal of the light that he had before was taken from him. He allows himself to be advised too much by wolves, and thus the skin is stripped from the sheep down to the bone, so that now it is very difficult for them to continue to lead their Catholic Church as they should... First, their skin was stripped away, that is, when healthy members of Ecône were torn away and dismissed, even though they were good. But they did not believe it. And when you had to continue saying... Ah, I don't want to talk! Exorcist's incantations.

Going to screenshot instead of RT this time bc it’s pretty clear that Fishback is seeking engagement- no pun intended. This is obviously odd, & it’s shocking that any church would allow one day marriage prep for ppl who’d been engaged a day. This guy won’t become governor, & he knows it. What is he seeking, though? A podcast? Fame?

@NEMonarchist It won’t be wrongful if it happens. SSPX uses every form of canonical gymnastics to attempt justifying its asinine disobedience—now as in 1988. SSPX threatens every soul hitched to its movement, and no small few beyond. Speaking to that spiritual danger *is* charity.
