@Zprtr1 come on man. she's not the progressive candidate she's positioning herself to be. she's a corporate centrist. AOC will be the true progressive in this race if she runs. these are all great ideas but we should do more than "discuss" them. we should just do them. discussion’s over.

Well said, Kamala Harris I agree with *every* point she made here

@optisues are you fucking kidding me? she’s a fucking corporate-backed centrist. fuck right off with this bullshit. she wants to “discuss” these ideas? AOC will just fucking push em through. she’s the true progressive we need and unlike Harris she won’t be funded by corporate donors.

And in one moment, Kamala Harris has risen to a top 5 candidate for me merely by raising these issues and hinting at based positions. I will not vote in the primary for a candidate uncommitted to significant electoral and judicial structural reform.

@SafeNights_ who was she gonna play? Lady Sarah? bc i cannot imagine anyone other than Rachel, Emma, and especially Olivia playing those roles. in the same way i can’t imagine anyone other than Cate Blanchett playing Carol Aird or Jasmine French.

@AOC4Presidents I don’t think it’s true that “she has NO true beliefs” and it’s a very reductive, very online assumption to make. But I do think it’s going to be critical for AOC to make clear who the real progressive is if she runs. And she should, because Harris is not a progressive.

Kamala is clearly trying to position herself as the progressive in the 2028 Democratic Primary. We have seen this with her before. Remember when she was for Medicare for All? Or when she was for the Green New Deal? She has no true beliefs.

@ed_dems idk i think if we run the eight candidates it’ll be just fine. if we run, say, AOC (who could absolutely win a primary), it will definitely be more than just dumping on Trump + a revenge tour.

im gonna be a little alarmist, and maybe it’s a little premature since 2028 isn’t here yet & the party doesn’t have a clear leader but I’m genuinely terrified dems are banking on just being alternative to Trump with no real agenda, then ending up where Labour is in the UK rn

@ohgoditsmatthew he’s also a center-left, corporate establishment Democrat and although i’d of course vote for him if he was the nominee, i believe the answer to Trump must be someone like AOC - no corporate or AIPAC contributions, progressive, populist, and the will to be ruthless.

People on here are gonna feign shock when each favorable/approval poll has shown the same thing — Pete Buttigieg is extremely popular and has consistently been in the net positive for approval.

I would expect AOC to govern in the way that Zohran does. Someone who we will have real, terrible disagreements with, but someone who will make the world better and ultimately have the right priorities.

NEWS: According to the New York Times, some Democrats are proposing a plan to overturn the state’s Supreme Court ruling that invalidated the referendum: 1) Invoke the circuit court ruling that invalidated the referendum due to county officials not posting notice of it at courthouses 3 months before the election to invalidate the 2020 constitutional amendment that created the independent redistricting commission by arguing that the courthouses also did not post notice of it at the time either. 2) Lower the mandatory retirement age for justices from 75 to 54 (or less). That would remove every justice on the court. The Democratic majority in the legislature can then appoint 7 new justices. 3) Democrats would then be able to redraw the map. nytimes.com/2026/05/10/us/…

AOC has no idea how to build coalitions or power. Ro Khanna does. Him working with four Republicans embarrassed Trump and took down a whole slew of creeps exposed by the Epstein files.

The way @AOC rejected @FmrRepMTG's help yesterday on Israel and the war really bothered me. @AnaKasparian and I took a chance, we asked our independent and right-wing brothers to show up to the battle on these critical issues. And they did! @TuckerCarlson @RepThomasMassie @megynkelly @TimJDillon @ComicDaveSmith @TheoVon @ShawnRyan762, Marjorie Taylor Green and so many others, from all parts of the political spectrum showed up to stand up to Israel, to fight against the war and to reclaim American sovereignty. And they brought millions of our fellow Americans with them! They did this despite the fact that their side is in charge. That took courage. They would say that they were standing on principles they already had. Well, apparently they were right. They just proved that they meant what they said with their actions! The left has always been for peace. We dreamed of the day the right-wing would join us in opposing wars and opposing the powerful who have rigged the rules against all of us. That day is here. Not for all of them, but for a lot of them! For God's sake, welcome them in. If you make this about partisanship, you hurt the movement. Shawn Ryan put it best - our house is on fire, we'll go back to fighting on all the other issues after we put out the fire! We only win if we're united. The establishment has a vice grip on power, if we help them divide us, we'll have no chance. When the cavalry shows up in the middle of the fight, the correct answer is, "Good to see you, brothers and sisters!!"
