@Ch_JesusChrist For those wondering if this is workable, years in the Primary has taught me that you can absolutely provide a meaningful lesson in 25 minutes, even with snacks and a game. BTW, please make it the norm to add snacks and a game to both SS and EQ.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
In advance of the upcoming general conference leadership session (April 2, 2026), The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced upcoming adjustments to the Sunday class meeting schedule to support members in their efforts to be lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ. The adjustments will strengthen gospel learning in homes and congregations throughout the world. Beginning September 6, 2026, the alternating weekly schedule for Sunday School and quorum or class meetings will be replaced. Under the updated schedule: • Sunday School, Relief Society, elders quorum, Young Women and Aaronic Priesthood quorum meetings will be held each week. • Sacrament meeting will continue to be 60 minutes, followed by brief transition periods. • Sunday School and quorum and class meetings will each be 25 minutes. • Primary will continue every Sunday and will be 55 minutes, held while adults and youth attend their respective classes. • Where local circumstances necessitate, units may begin with Primary and quorum and class meetings and conclude with sacrament meeting. On Saturday during the TT-Utah game, my 4-year old was chanting Go Utes! Go Utes! Go Utes! And then during the BYU game she was chanting Go BYU! Go BYU! Go BYU! Is this what Christ meant by "Be like a little child"?

I'm inventing a new word: "Interonder", n., meaning that sense of awe and confusion that comes from recognizing you're just a meat bag full of different meat bits doing different meat-bit things over which you have no conscious control.

The best part about dressing up like assistant coach Jerry Sloan helping to lead the @utahjazz to a 124-123 road victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on March 6, 1987 is that my students aren't sure if it's a costume or just...me. And they don't want to ask for fear of offending me.

@RelevantQuest "Render therefore unto Cæsar the things which are Cæsar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s." Great trust comparison, I leave it to God and don't worry about it.

Once tithing leaves my hands, the Church answers to God for it. They take it seriously & do tremendous good with it—more good than any other earthly organization ever has or will. It’s sad to me that some Church members who trust the government in literally nothing else are so quick to trust the motivations of a government program & a single “whistleblower” over the intentions (& lawful compliance) of the Church. How many Americans complain on the regular that the government is so systemically corrupt & the laws so complex & ever-moving that it’s nearly impossible not to violate something eventually? “We can’t even do our taxes,” you say, “without ordering new software every year. It’s extortion!” But when the Church says “We were protecting the privacy of Church finances to maintain the mission of the Church (in a way we believed to be lawful),” —when they expand their stewardship to the level that they can exercise dramatic rescue during global catastrophes in a way no world program ever could before—these members quietly decide “The Government program is true, the whistleblower is honest, & the people who share my beliefs & hold themselves accountable before Almighty God for the honest administration of his kingdom upon the earth—they are the ones who deserve my doubt. I am suspicious of those guys, their reasons cannot be trusted.” Now, if you’re someone who implicitly trusts the government in all things & doubts anything that ever bumps elbows with it, perhaps you have an excuse. But if you find your faith wavering like tissue paper in the wind because this generational purveyor of global good has become “too powerful” in the eyes of a government agency or a disgruntled accountant—even AFTER the Church complied with the fine—I implore you to reconsider your position. Does the mere size of the Church savings account irritate your tender sensibilities? Show me Russell M. Nelson’s exotic car collection. Where are the General Authorities’ many sprawling estate homes? Where are their closets full of designer clothes? How many luxury vacations do they take each year? Okay, so where did all the money go? Look up stats on the Church welfare program. Look at the temples & meetinghouses across the world. Look at the charitable donations to organizations outside the Church & the emergency supplies funneling out of warehouses around the world. And where’s the rest? It’s still in the account, waiting for the next need. Those who don’t like it are the ones who want it or the ones who resent it. We will all answer to God at the end. When that day comes, we who were staring at our feet will have to look up & account for the people we followed & where they led us. No doubt, there will be many tears of regret. I am prepared to account for whom I followed here on earth. I will own these worthy servants of the Lord with joy & confidence. Like all humans, they will not be perfect, but the fruits of this vineyard are the very best. Who will you allow to lead you? Would you trust the fruit of that vine? These are treacherous times. The world is a minefield. Be so very careful where you stand.

Two thoughts about the internet: (1) So much of what we see online is a lie & (2) the word "allegedly" does so much work in our modern discourse that it's begun to be disregarded.

I'm finally able to admit I hate Peter Pan and all of its cinematic and stage derivatives. Have always found it creepy and sad.
