@danheld 80% of all the bitcoins in circulation are owned by China. That’s ironic because they have some of the worst cryptocurrency laws. I see this as a chinese takeover to protect there physical dollar.

There will only be 21 million Bitcoin. What happens when 7.6 billion people realize that?

@CyberPlayGround @danheld Don’t forget that not all mining is complete yet. 21M will be the final amount. Mining slashes will push the date to 2130 before we get a total of 21M bitcoin in circulation. Right now there is 18M.

@danheld Correction please, there are not 21 million, there are less. Over the years people lost their device, password, or key. Best guess maybe 20 million are around today.

@danheld On top of that the world population will continue to grow until 2130 so that needs to be included.

@danheld We won’t have all 21 million until all of the mining is complete. Estimates say that will be in 2130. By then there will be something different or the planet is extinct. So right now there is 18M bitcoin in circulation. You also need to include that there is lost bitcoins (~1M)
