@BonesawMD I’ve seen more growth now than I have in 4 years switching to working out like this
English

Training for both size and strength is best done by controlling for RPE, not specific rep ranges.
Best way to remain in tune w/ your body too.
Most train WAY below their capacity bc they've been on autopilot during their workouts for years.
Fastest progress was done w/ this.

@homegymcoop Whole heartedly agree, exercise while sick seems to let me heal faster than be a stagnant blob during that time

If you're happy, fulfilled, etc it's actually impossible to seriously hate on people and things as a passive spectator. Not even by accident. Like you legit have to try really hard and force yourself to kill your own vibe in order to temporarily occupy that loser state
Also why you should never entertain it if it happens to come your way either. Imagine being financially stable in a walkable city with the love of your life. You don't just slip up and say "oops didn't mean to spend my day saying snarky and passive aggressive things about all these people who don't even know I exist"
Someone has to be in dire straits to be acting like that so casually lol and there's nothing you can do about it other than feel sorry for them and pray they heal!

Life's too short to hate on anything or anyone Think what you want But don't waste time expressing it

@colejaczko Convinced most issues people our age bracket face is simply not having third spaces/places to be around others, got lost in the phone era, mom was always right

Hey gang - I could use some help with what I am building
My journey over the past 5 years has been this.
> Quit private equity after finding it unfulfilling
> Went out to find my purpose, realize there aren't any resources to help you with that
> Realized that you will never be able to find your purpose until you train your mind to be truly confident, eager to take risks, and a desire to fail - until then you think too small
> So I taught myself all those things
> This led me to finding my passion: figuring out how best to play the game of life & sharing what I learn
That brings me to today.
> I want to solve the mental health crisis by making people mentally healthy. Your mind is your most important muscle - you have to train it. Self Love, confidence, risk taking, magnetic energy, charisma, optimism, work ethic...these are all muscle groups of the mind
> I am passionate about investing and its easier to take the leap with some money in the bank
> Finding your purpose + making money is good and all, but it still wont make you happy.
> To be happy you need to have a great life, and a great life is one full of love. So I teach people how to love and find love
> If I've learned anything, it's life is short & we all die. What underlies my ethos is just that: we will all be dust in 200 years, why wouldn't you go for it, why would you hold back love, etc? Don't die wondering...
What underscores all this is people. We are all more connected than ever and yet more isolated than ever. Perhaps that's why mental health is more prevalant than ever?
I use my content as a beacon to attract like minded-people and then create a community around that.
I went to USC. While there, I studied Pete Carroll & what made him so successful. He created an ENVIRONMENT which brought out the best of his players. Why don't we have that? We all spend all day on the Internet together, but why aren't we truly more connected? Why is it all silo'd? Why aren't we all genuinely connecting?
As you can see, this is a lot. I have massive aspirations for this. It isn't some "guru course.' It is a modern educational powerhouse for self actualization for us all to win together and have a blast doing it.
I have treasure troves of content in my existing libraries and in my mind that I need to bring to life.
I want to focus on what I am uniquely gifted at which is connecting with people and sharing what I've learned.
I need help with the rest - content creation, podcast editing, clipping, sales, community mgmt., book production, etc etc you name it.
Who wants in?

@thedulab I think that’s just human nature. Wired to find the bad so we can hide and nest. Same thing with the weather. One hint of a snow storm and suddenly we’re rushing to the stores and canceling work. Not bad, just how we’re built I feel

@SahilBloom @sweatystartup You can return the favor by asking him to pick you up from the airport

@sweatystartup Nick called me to ask if I could fly down to Georgia to help him move a couch this weekend.
I just sent him his own tweet.

Not many people know this but Max and I actually went to high school together. We were the complete opposite in terms of how the world perceived us
Max didn't do well in school while I was a straight A student. Max hung out with with skate rats while my friends and I were deciding between UCLA or Berkeley
Funny lore though was that we had a Spanish class together during sophomore year and somehow ended up becoming boys despite the different paths we were going down
We talked about this almost a decade later but there were parts of him that I was always secretly jealous of. He just had this rebellious shamelessness that I was perpetually drawn to and greatly admired him for it
But the fact that I was drawn to it meant that this was also part of my nature deep down, it's just that I was too afraid to break the rigid identity that was thrust upon me from an early age
People would laugh at the idea of me turning out like Max, and they would laugh at the idea of Max turning out like me. Both of us hated the fact that society tried to tell us who we were, and this is exactly what we had in common and led both of us here today
Without Twitter, I really don't know where we'd both have ended up. This is the power of the internet. Regardless of your past, you can always rewrite your story at any given moment. Max is an inspiration and I'm consistently proud of us

@Saint_Dici I look up to gary a lot and I know this topic comes up a lot revolving him.
I’m pretty sure his message is that despite things being fucked up in your past it’s never too late to play another hand
People interpret it as “you can wait” but i don’t think he means that at all

@ezrawithacamera Looks pretty good, and white parts will definitely fetch a little higher of a price but like you said, it’s dependent if you want it to look nice or not. Is it going to be an on the desk PC or under - important in that decision lol
English

@seththomass Here’s what I’ve pieced together so far - I’m teetering back and forth about making the aesthetics nice or not. I might upgrade to an even better GPU or maybe making all the components white. Still a few months down the road at this point - do you have a PC?
