Announcement 📣 Innovate Finance, the industry body for and voice of #UK #FinTech, and the Digital Pound Foundation (DPF) have agreed to join forces, recognising the increasing impact of public debates on new forms of digital money. By bringing the DPF within the Innovate Finance community, the two organisations will advance a shared vision for developing the UK as the leading global centre for #digitalassets and #digitalmoney.
DPF will become an initiative within Innovate Finance with a dedicated work stream, the Digital Pound Foundation Programme, focused on digital money in both public and private forms. Innovate Finance will also establish a DPF Member Advisory Group to shape the programme with dedicated resources, supported by the wider Innovate Finance team and activities.
Janine Hirt, CEO of Innovate Finance, said: "We are absolutely delighted to welcome the Digital Pound Foundation within the Innovate Finance community. This supports our strategic focus on deepening expertise and engagement in FinTech verticals including payments and digital assets. Over the last three years the DPF has moved from strength to strength, and has made remarkable progress in raising awareness about the benefits and opportunities that adoption of a well-designed digital pound and new forms of digital money will offer.
