Here we go again: Even if the revenue from tariffs is used to lower existing distortionary taxes, tariffs are welfare reducing for the vast majority of Americans. @carrolldanielr and I showed this in our recent IER.

It turns out that Pablo López, the Twins' winning pitcher today was a childhood fan of Johan Santana, probably the best pitcher ever from Venezuela. As my friends know, so am I. In fact, I have a Santana jersey that looks like Pablo's.
