The officer realized she didn’t speak English, and enabled language interpretation technology on his body-worn camera. Officers can connect with people in over 50 languages at the press of a button. Understanding each other clearly helped the woman explain what she needed. The officer was able to clearly explain how he could help her. Language should never be a barrier to getting help.
