As a proud UC grad, I know @UCLA is a global leader in research, innovation, education, and healthcare. A $1B federal demand would devastate the nation’s top public research university, cut off life-saving care, and halt economic growth. #StandUpForUC ucal.us/standupforuc

@RepSwalwell What do you expect from someone who kills her own dog? Her lack of empathy is striking.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem must resign. She has deported a four year old with cancer, detained a U.S. marshal, and arrested two members of Congress. She’s lost the confidence of the American people. ICE must stop terrorizing our communities.

United States Senator Alex Padilla was representing the millions of Californians who are demanding answers to this Administration's actions in Southern California. This is a shameful and stunning abuse of power.

@TheTennisLetter Actually, I think he was not as loved because despite incredible tennis skills, he was not as lovable, frequently arrogant and with pretend injuries at critical times during matches.

Novak Djokovic says it hurt him that he wasn’t as loved as Roger & Rafa, ‘I was never as loved as Federer & Nadal because I wasn't supposed to be there. I was the little guy, the 3rd guy who came & said I'm going to be #1.. Many people didn't like that’ “I acted and still felt like an unwanted child. I asked myself why that was. It hurt me. Then I thought the fans would accept me if I acted differently. But that wasn't the case either.” “I was never as loved as Federer and Nadal because I wasn't supposed to be there. I was the little guy, the third guy who came along and said, 'I'm going to be number one.' Many people didn't like that.” “Just because someone is my biggest rival doesn't mean I wish them harm, hate them, or want to do anything else on the court to defeat them. We fought for the win, and the better player won.” “I've always respected both him and Federer; I've never said a single bad word about them and never will. I looked up to them and still do. But I've always gotten along better with Nadal.” Source: #commentSection" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">20min.ch/story/fehlende…

@KSoltisAnderson I’m so sorry for your loss. What a 💔. I felt the same way about my rescue Labrador Retriever. When he passed, I found solace fostering other rescue Labradors while they waited for their forever family. I see a little of my Bruno in each of them and it saves lives.

Your #dailywally is at peace. I am broken hearted that this morning we said goodbye to our very best boy, Wally. He had a delicious breakfast croissant, some snuggles, and a gentle goodbye. I don’t know what I’m going to do without him. I could write ten thousand words here about everything he meant to me. But I am comforted knowing he is at peace, and that we gave him the best possible life for the time he was in our family. I know Wally meant a lot to many of you, either by knowing him in real life or as a bright spot on your timeline these last six years. I never wanted the #dailywally to have to end. It’s unfair how short a time we get with our dogs. Sometimes people would hear that Wally was a rescue and tell us “oh, he’s so lucky to have you!” But I’ve always known it was the other way around, that it was us who had been so lucky to have Wally in our family.

Asthma Linked to Memory Deficits in Children Asthma in children is linked to memory difficulties, with research showing that earlier asthma onset can slow memory development over time. The study, focused on children aged 9-10, found that those with asthma scored lower on episodic memory tasks compared to their peers without the condition. Researchers suggest that prolonged inflammation or oxygen disruption during asthma episodes may contribute to these cognitive impacts. Data from a large child study showed that the longer a child had asthma, the slower their memory development over a two-year period. The findings raise concerns that asthma could increase risks for future cognitive conditions, such as dementia, later in life.
