The really damning thing about The Population Bomb isn't that it turned out to be wrong. It was clearly wrong from the start, and this was knowable and known. The demographic transition was already happening. Labor and land productivity of agriculture was already exploding.

@sgodofsk Whatever the full spectrum of Talarico's religious beliefs might be, he comes across as a bit of a caricature in the extent to which the ONLY videos of him talking about religion seem to be talking about how the evangelical consensus on culture war issues is wrong.

Certain kinds of protestants have more in common with, like, wicca or whatever than typical christians. I'm not going to get into some ontological argument over whether they're Really Christians but for the purposes of electoral politics they definitely aren't.
