The Russians are testing an anti-FPV net launcher that mounts in the under-barrel grenade launcher of AK-series rifles, instead of into the barrel as seen in previous systems. Apparently, the net size is 4×4 m, and the (claimed) working range is 30–40 m with a maximum of 55 m.

You may need to evacuate if the plume of chemicals is slow moving or going the opposite way. You may have to shelter in place if you dont have time to get out safely, like if the wind is blowing to you or you are just very close. You may be forced to turn off your a/c and shut windows and hope your house is sealed up enough. The ERG (Emergency Response Guidebook) from DOT (Dept. of Transportation) has an initial isolation distance of 1/4 mile. Dangerous toxic-by-inhalation rail incidents have a 1/2 mile radius. It could be 1/4 to 1mile radius or more, that you must shelter or evacuate. If you are 2-3 miles and notified early then you may not need a respirator. A dust mask or even n95 is not good enough for chemicals. A minimum mask that starts offering protection is a pink filter, but a full face mask is recommended.
