@aincomeinvestor I ask myself those questions all the time then I log into @cfosilvia and ask her. It’s been a good tool in the financial 🧰 to help out.

A few questions I ask myself when I have a hard time allocating cash into stocks and ETFs: What sector am I too heavy in? What sector am I not? What is "cheap" in my portfolio? What is "expensive" in my portfolio? How would I feel if any position in my portfolio dropped 20% over a week? Would I add more or sell? What's the day, week, one-month, or YTD return on the stocks/ETFs in my portfolio? Is this a short-term or long-term hold? What's the time horizon on my investment? Anything in my portfolio near 52-week lows? Where am over-allocated and where am I under? Do I need more cash or have too much? What do I hold in my portfolio that could be affected positively or negatively by the current political climate?

Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.

Today we're launching TroveFiles. The infrastructure we built to power @cfosilvia, now available for anyone building AI agents. The problem: agents are stateless. Every session starts from scratch. The workarounds (vector databases, embedding pipelines, custom retrieval) add complexity without solving the core issue. Your agent needs a place to live. Trove gives every agent a persistent POSIX filesystem with a real Unix toolchain inside the sandbox: cat, grep, find, pdftotext, ffmpeg. Every Silvia user now has their own filesystem of memories, skills, and preferences. The agent decides the structure and writes to it across sessions. One user wants their portfolio checked against a specific allocation model every morning. Another wants weekly transaction summaries in a specific format. It builds on itself. We believe 2026 is the year of the filesystem. Now every developer can get started in a few lines of code: trovefiles.dev

Real question: what is the actual latest state-of-the-art for file search and retrieval? - Actual grep over filesystem - Virtualized grep / BM25 over a db (what @mintlify did) - Vector search over a db - Hybrid search over a db - SQL - none of the above - some of the above?
