Thanks for your quick canned response. I am not personally affected by railway personnel throwing out all plastic garbage on the track. So there is nothing needed for a “speedy redressal”. I was writing on behalf of countless animals , villagers affected by this irresponsible disposal of waste by Indian Railways, who won’t ever write to you. What I am raising here is for a systematic change where Indian Railways has 1. proper provisions for waste disposal, and 2. the staff are sensitised about environmental hazards of irresponsible disposal. I am sharing my PNR and number by DM just to ensure that I am a real traveller and not some AI bot but this is problem that should concern everyone and not just the traveller.

In today’s world, we are budding Buddhas in action — carrying the vision to heal, uplift, and transform the suffering around us. Yet we often get stuck: procrastinating, doubting ourselves, feeling scattered, or simply exhausted. Inspired by the story of the Buddha’s encounter with Māra — who tried to distract him from his path through many clever tactics — I’m offering a 1-hour workshop to build awareness and help us see the patterns that block our clarity, purpose, and focus. 🗓️ Date: August 7th 🕓 Time: 4:00–5:15 PM IST I’ve met Māra many times in my own life — so often that he’s become like an old friend I can now easily recognize. This workshop is offered with love and gratitude to my fellow travelers, in the spirit of sharing what I’ve learned, and to support you in your journey to live more fully. 🌱 The workshop is free of cost. 🔗 To register, please fill out this form: purnam.co/mara I'm offering this as part of my Purnam Karmayoga Fellowship programme conducted by my friends @manojpavitran and Divyanshi, who have been through all seasons of my life ever since I joined Auroville.

It's become clear to me that this is not as obvious as I thought it was. People often don't realize that #AshFramework is not an alternative to #PhoenixFramework, but a complement to it. Y'all: Phoenix rises from the ashes. #MyElixirStatus

@airtelindia @Airtel_Presence you were quick in asking me to respond but then complete silence... There has been no progress in addressing the issue. No communication from your end. Remember to sell a product that you DONT have is unethical and illegal. That's what @airtelindia is doing with roaming services. At least have the courtesy of refunding and making amends.

That's really fast. I have messaged you the details in DM. I hate to take these conversations public but it looks like Airtel ONLY cares when its complaint is made public and not directly to its customer care. Looking forward for a speedy resolution at least here. Thank you Mamta.

@airtelindia @Airtel_Presence You are selling a product that you actually dont support and charge money on your customer. Please correct this unethical malpractice. You have no data roaming partner in Tonga and yet you sold to me an international roaming plan for Rs.3999. Your customer service agent don't know or lie to me that everything is right on your end. I confirmed directly with your network partner in Tonga that you don't have data partnership but only voice. This is definitely not showing you in good light and your customer service agent say there is no option for refund for a service that you can't provide. Where is your business ethics? How can you sell a product and not deliver and yet confidently refuse to refund?

@jasonfried You shared my sentiment @tan_tej ! Thank you @jasonfried. Reading a tweet from you is my wisdom of the day ( or my week) and 37signals.com is a holy book for a sane world! Thank you for sharing this wisdom. Please do the world a favor: Be a Founder :-)

Founder & CEO is a common title, especially in tech. It happens to be my title too. I've come to believe it's an impossible title. You're either CEO, or you're Founder. You can't hold both full-time jobs. And unless your company is probably 100+, CEO isn't really a job anyway. It's more of a role someone needs to play occasionally. There simply aren't that many big picture things or decisions to "execute" day in and day out — or even week in and week out — to make it a true full time job. A role yes, a hat to wear yes, a full-time job at a smallish company? No. It's part-time at best, quarter-time even better. Further, the fundamental responsibilities of Founders and CEOs are at odds. Having them mashed up in the same title is as ridiculous as having someone who's a "CTO & Chief Luddite". Why's that? Because a Founder's job is injecting risk into the business. It's flooding it with new ideas, stuff that seems hard to do, ideas that no one else would dare try, placing the kinds of bets that only someone who started the damn thing would be willing to wager. A Founders' job is basically to stay in business by almost always putting it out of business. A CEO's job? Just about the opposite. It's reducing risk, executing diligently to achieve obvious goals, staying in business at all costs. It's primarily about about being conservative, keeping the company's collective cool, and not letting things get out of hand. Just about everything that a Founder isn't doing. A CEO's job is to stay in business by not allowing the company to do anything so stupid that it could go out of business. See? They're such different things. The minds powering the pistons run on different fuel. But I get it. It's a wonderful boost to the ego to hold the top two jobs in a company — especially when the original sin of starting the damn thing was your decision. And yes, someone ultimately has to make the big calls, no matter which side they fall on. And given that you were the first one in the door, you're the natural and convenient standard-bearer. Your skeleton key fits both locks. Founder is a unique position as it's the one job that can't be replaced. It can be eliminated, certainly, as many companies go founder-free after some time. But once the person who started it isn't there, you can't bring someone else in who started it. The closest thing then becomes a CEO. So I've shifted my personal thinking. As long as I'm still here, I'm picking a side. I'm a Founder. That's my strength, that's where I can bring the most. Which means we don't really have a full-time CEO. I'm simply the part time one that fills the void when we need to bridge the gap, make a final big decision, and move on. As it should be.

I'm going to be off grid for ~2.5 weeks starting Wednesday of next week. There are people who can reach me if there is an emergency. As many of you know, I don't take much time off, so when I do, its gotta be good 😂 @AshFramework folks, take care of each other while I'm gone ❤️

I took @shankardevy LiveView "deep dive" training today and left incredibly impressed. Training took a task-based approach with 40+ task items covering key items that all build upon each other in only one day. Learned things like: embedded live view w/in live view for interactive memory monitoring & presence management, streams, what {:noreply} means actually, where @myself, @rest, @dynamic_attrs come from, and most important of all, how to manipulate child associations within a parent live view's "show" form via live_components instantiated for each association item. He also covered pubsub and how to broadcast database updates so other users on your same item will now if you changed something. The exercises are best left for after the session but do them and you will know live view like you never knew before. Can't wait for the Ash book or follow-on training for that!
