Greetings all, Its been quite sometime since I posted about @hedera, @HbarSuite, #SmartNodes... When I think about the future of technology adoption, DLT is at the forefront of that adoption, the efficiencies that stand to be gained are just too great to ignore. So its no doubt in my mind, that that is where we are headed... @leemonbaird created the #Hashgraph algorithm with the sole purpose of mass adoption, while still maintaining: ~Scalability ~Security ~Speed ~Efficiency Now, the above list could be refined, added too, altered perhaps, but that pretty much sums up what we would want, ideally from an enterprise grade DLT, ready to service the world! Just one problem....#SmartContracts. You see, "Smart"contracts, basically attack and destroy the above list, meaning any DLT that actually focuses on them, builds around them, and fully embraces them, (an old, outdated technology), are abandoning the requisite qualities, to be considered an enterprise grade DLT... Let us breakdown why exactly this is, and how "Smart"Contracts impact the below: ~Scalability : SmartContracts do not scale, too high energy requirements, high costs, slow speeds, and massive computational power is needed. ~Security: SmartContracts are simply not secure, and have a history of losing $$$Billions to exploits and hacks, they are a relic, built for early adoption of #Ethereum. ~Speed: SmartContracts are simply too slow for real world adoption, require too much computation time, and at scale, would cause any DLT to become congested, grinding to a halt, this has happened already, on so called "future proof networks, such as #SOLANA. ~Efficiency: SmartContracts use too much energy, are not green, cost both the users and the networks they are used on far too much $$$, they are simply not practical or feasible, not at a scale that allows for mass adoption. This begs the question then, how does @hedera scale, or indead any DLT, while trying to maintain: ~Scalability ~Security ~Speed ~Efficiency Quite simply, they don't.... Unless you build and execute on the native layer of @hedera , you are simply not able to maintain the above. The only technology that allows for this, are #SmartNodes, developed by @HbarSuite. An innovative technology, allowing for the full capabilities of the native layer to be realized. Consider this, the native layer of @hedera is capable of over 100K tps, and yet it can only handle around 300tps in SmartContract calls, to go beyond this, the network would need to "shard". Each shard might be, lets say, 100+ machines each running a node, how many machines is that to achieve just 100K tps? OVER 33'333 machines.....LUDICROUS expense and energy usage, and a MASSIVE carbon footprint for a network, carbon offsets or not! Well guess what, #SmartNodes being built on, and embracing the technology of the #HashGraph and its native layer, means we DO NOT NEED multiple shards, just to accomodate the limiting factor of SmartContracts... Not only that, but we also do not destroy the: ~Scalability ~Security ~Speed ~Efficiency As because we are using the native layer of @hedera, we gain all the above, and MORE!. Lets start embracing the native layer of @hedera, embrace the capabilities of the #HashGraph, embrace the vision and creation of @leemonbaird. Its time to start building for the future, its time to let go of the past!
