It’s true this country’s success is truncated by many socialist programs. Our best path forward is to defund and limit those to ones that are necessary for orderly society, like law enforcement, fire prevention, etc. The opposite of that is not fascism (which in actual operation ends up being a close brother to socialism e.g. Russia) but people like you like to throw out that extreme false choice to make ridiculous arguments. Free markets, small government, individualism and liberty (this country’s founding principles) promote development and success while socialism stagnates (and kills) It’s been proven over and over again. This my country. I’ve given it more than most. I’m staying here and fighting for those founding principles, and I’m going to keep pushing until lazy, corrosive socialists curl up like salted slugs.
