Shopify's CEO Tobias Lütke told an AI to run experiments on his model overnight. The next morning he woke up to a smaller model that outperformed one twice its size. All thanks to Andrej Karpathy's new framework: Autoresearch. Here's what it actually does. You write one plain text file telling the AI what "better" looks like & go to sleep. While you're out, the AI runs experiments on its own, tests one idea, checks if it worked, keeps it or kills it, then moves to the next one. And this isn't just for ML researchers. A marketer can point this at their ads & say "best click rate wins." A founder can point it at their landing page & say "highest signups win." A sales team can point it at cold email subject lines. The average team runs 30 experiments a year. This runs 36,500 while everyone's asleep. But the craziest part is that Karpathy ran it on his own codebase, a project he'd spent years manually optimising himself. AI came back with 20 improvements he had missed. Things sitting in plain sight for years that one of the best minds alive never caught. For the longest time, the people who ran the most experiments won. Effort was the proof of intelligence & the hardest workers took home the biggest rewards. That era just ended. The only competitive advantage left is knowing what to ask for. Everything else is now automated.

Yes, it's true. BlackRock's $26B HPS Corporate Lending Fund (HLEND) got $1.2B in Q1 withdrawal requests (9.3% of NAV) and capped payouts at the standard 5% limit ($620M), per its rules. Blackstone's $82B BCRED fund saw record 7.9% requests (~$3.7B) the same period and put in $400M of its own cash to cover everything. Sources: Reuters, Bloomberg, FT (March 6, 2026).

Breaking: BlackRock just froze $1.2 billion in withdrawal requests at its private credit fund. Here's what happened: • Investors in BlackRock's $26B fund asked to pull out 9.3% of their money • BlackRock said no — capped withdrawals at 5% • Blackstone's $82B fund saw record withdrawal requests the same week • Blackstone had to put in $400M of its own cash to cover the exits Two of the biggest funds on the planet are limiting how much you can take out.

In Budget 2026, GOI allocated a further ₹40,000 crore for ISM 2.0 - which includes another ₹1,000 crore for DLI 2.0 We can expect in the next few years that Fabs built under ISM 1.0 will be able to domestically fabricate chips designed with support from DLI 1.0 The journey from complete import dependency today to domestic supply chain independence will take at least 15 years - but the baby steps have been taken across the Semis value chain - Chip Design (DLI), Fabrication (ISM), Testing (ISM) and Scaling (PLI 2026) ➡️Once the 1st chip from DLI goes into commercial production - there will be an explosion of Semis related startup activity in the country - I can already see a few signs of this - generalist investors like us (e.g. DeVC) are investing in domestic Semis companies & global strategics are entering into conversation with the Govt to provide their own support to this nascent ecosystem

India allocated ₹76,000 crore to Semiconductors in 2021 - the most successful part of that program was a small ₹1,000 crore corpus for Design Linked incentives (DLI) In Semis - Chip Fabrication & Chip design are two entirely separate activities - Fabrication is high CAPEX - therefore attracts media attention e.g. Tata’s upcoming logic fab in Dholera But, IP lies in chip design which is high margin, low CAPEX and R&D intensive DLI 1.0 has struck the goldmine: (a) 140 core IP units created (b) 16 chip designs taped out (at 1/5th cost v/s global peers) (c) 24 startups supported (d) 14 of whom raised follow-on funding from VCs (e) While still have ₹250 crore (25% of corpus) left Here’s what you need to know about this policy success ⤵️

Data centers' massive water needs (confirmed via Deloitte: ~68k liters/MW/day for evaporative cooling) drive demand for treatment, recycling & efficient cooling tech amid AI boom. Stocks positioned to benefit: - Xylem (XYL): pumps, filtration, reuse systems - Pentair (PNR): water management & immersion cooling - Ecolab (ECL): chemicals & monitoring for cooling towers - Vertiv (VRT): advanced thermal/cooling solutions reducing water use Not advice—DYOR, markets fluctuate.

These are not narrative-driven moves; these are numbers-backed performances. What stands out even more is execution ✅ Many of these companies are delivering on what management had previously guided - capacity expansion, margin improvement, order visibility, product mix enhancement, and balance sheet discipline. When management says something and then executes it quarter after quarter, that builds credibility - and credibility compounds over time 🤝 The interesting part? Despite posting strong Q3 results, several of these stocks are still available at reasonable or even attractive valuations compared to their growth visibility. Markets often remain slow or distracted in the short term, but earnings strength eventually commands attention. This is where serious investors separate themselves from casual participants. Instead of waiting for momentum or headlines, this is the phase to: 1⃣ Study the business model 2⃣ Read annual reports and concall transcripts 3⃣ Understand growth drivers and risks 4⃣ Develop conviction through research 📌 If conviction is built early, opportunities that look “normal” today can become powerful wealth creators over the next cycle. 📌 Markets may feel quiet. But strong businesses rarely stay unnoticed for long. Disclaimer: This post is for informational and educational purposes only. Quality Power’s concall carried one clear message ➜ management is extremely confident about what lies ahead 🔥📈🔥 They hinted multiple times that they may “surprise the market” and even mentioned that good news is likely in the next 1–2 quarters, especially around their expansion and inorganic plans. 💯🔥 They also highlighted that next year’s new facilities will take them to over 9× current capacity, and they’ve already added 140–150 people to prepare for that scale. Overall, the tone didn’t feel cautious at all ➜ it felt like a team gearing up for something much bigger than what’s visible today. 🚀 🤝 Connect with me and bookmark this post for all upcoming updates on Quality Power. 8 microcap #stocks I am bullish on: (Pl Note: my views can be biased) Criteria: • High earnings & sales growth potential (20%+ CAGR possible) • Strong industry tailwinds (Make-in-India, Defence, Power, Indl capex) • Niche business models + proactive management • Higher risk, but disproportionate reward potential over 3 to 5 yrs. Will share a detailed🧵 on these shortly. Is any of these💎 in your radar? ✨ GALA PRECISION: Engineering-led play aligned with manufacturing growth. ✨ KRISHNA DEFENCE: Defence indigenisation theme with structural tailwinds. ✨ DIFFUSION ENGINEERS: Moving up the value chain into heavy engineering. ✨ VILAS TRANSCORE: Transformer ecosystem beneficiary of power capex. ✨ YASH HIGHVOLTAGE: Riding India’s power equipment upcycle. ✨ OBSC PRECISION: Specialised engineering player with high-entry barriers. ✨ VALIANT COMM: Telecom + tech niche with scalable opportunities. ✨ AIMTRON: Electronics manufacturing exposure in a fast-formalising sector. Disclaimer: These are not a stock recommendation. Please do your own due diligence. I am only sharing what I like & am tracking closely in the (high-risk) micro-cap space.

Finally, India’s 6th 🇮🇳 semiconductor unit ( HCL-Foxconn JV) to come up near Jewar airport in UP under the India Semiconductor Mission. With ₹3,700 cr capex, it’s not a mega fab. An OSAT/packaging unit for display driver chips, meaning less heavy capex. But big step in building local ecosystem and may help reduce bit of import dependence. hindustantimes.com/cities/noida-n…

Via @businessline India has made impressive strides on fabs & packaging ambition via ISM 1.0 + DLI. The next, more practical entry point through next iteration of ISM should be semiconductor equipment. No, we won’t build an Applied Materials or Tokyo Electron overnight. But good start will be to narrowly focus on PV & wafer tools, PECVD, plasma cleaning, metrology, handling systems, co-develop with industry, pilot via national labs, and scale where India already has engineering depth.

If referring to hashrate (1 ZH/s), Bitcoin is the only network at that scale—others like Litecoin (~1 PH/s) or Dogecoin (~2 TH/s) are far smaller. If meaning equivalent energy (~20-30 GW), it's comparable to the annual average power use of countries like Sweden or the Netherlands, or global aluminum smelting. @0xCAFAD India needs to build the software tools, both for frontend and backend. There are literally three companies who rule that area. It’s becoming increasingly important to be independent in that area. Because unlike China we have laws against pirated software.
