Have you checked your R1 after the latest 2026.03 software update? @Rivian just completely revamped Kneel Mode, and it is lower than ever! Before, you could fit a couple of fingers between the tire and the wheel well, but now? You’re lucky if you can fit one. It is a true "slam" for easy entry and exit. The Speed Bump Reality Check: I was having a "fancy" breakfast at McDonald’s and totally forgot how low the truck had dropped. When I pulled out of my spot, I hit a speed bump and THUD, a very rough reminder that I was still in Kneel Mode! Remember, your Rivian won’t automatically raise back to standard height until you hit about 5 mph. If you’re crawling through a parking lot with big speed bumps, you’re going to feel it. Pro Tip: If you know you’re about to hit some uneven ground or a steep driveway exit at low speed, don’t wait for the auto-raise. Go into your Quick Controls menu on the center display and manually raise the vehicle back up. It’ll save your suspension (and your pride) from that nasty speed bump! I’ve owned both. Two model x buybacks (long range and plaid). Didn’t want a 3rd so I got a cybertruck. The X much comfier and faster. But I love the utility of the cybertruck. I’m much happier with the cybertruck. Also have a Rivian R1S which for our use case is a far better family car and road tripper. Hope you don’t need outlets with that Model X. Otherwise make sure you buy those Anker portable batteries 😊

Cybertruck PCS failures are happening back to back. It happened to my first truck VIN 2K, and recently happened to my new Cybertruck VIN 12K. I didn't say anything publicly at first because I didn't want to put Tesla in a bad light. But now I'm seeing someone post about a PCS failure almost daily, so I think it's best to say something about the issue. To my knowledge, this is only happening to older trucks. Newer trucks should not need to worry about this. Tesla has a new PCS revision ending in T2-G. If yours fails, double check with your service team that you're getting the latest version. I hope this new revision finally resolves the problem. The fun part? I got to drive a Cyberbeast while mine was being fixed, and that truck's performance is unmatched. It's incredibly fast. My suggestion to Tesla: fix any truck that develops a PCS issue, whether in or out of warranty. At some point, the older PCS versions will fail. Also, when your truck slows charging to 24A after a PCS failure is detected, it will only last a couple of days before completely failing. Schedule service as soon as you notice it, and Tesla will get you back up and running quickly. @elonmusk @wmorrill3 @cybertruck @Tesla @tesla_na

The data collection alone was a beast — log entries from photos, way more variables than expected (I should have started a spreadsheet to begin with). Wasn't willing to fudge the numbers to meet a deadline. Data's good. Edit is next. Worth the wait. 🙏

You might be wondering what’s wrong with the @Cybertruck now, but this time, it wasn’t a software glitch or a mechanical failure—it was me! I managed to straight-up curb the rear flare on the passenger side. Because the curb was so high, it caught the trim and bent it out of shape. Definitely not my proudest moment! Tesla Mobile Service showed up in a wrapped Cybertruck (which was actually a buyback unit!) to save the day. The technician had to remove the running boards and a specific trim piece to reach two hidden screws that Eric and I just couldn't get to ourselves. One was tucked deep inside the assembly and the other was underneath. The best part? The repair was surprisingly affordable! The part itself was only $80, and they didn’t even charge me extra for the labor of removing the running boards. It’s officially as good as new! A huge shout-out to everyone who has used my @Tesla referral code when buying your car. Because of your support, I was actually able to use my referral credits to pay for this mistake. It’s not a one-to-one write off. The interest is deducted from your overall tax liability by $10,000. So you’ll always save a percentage off the interest and not the entire amount. Furthermore, the incentive expires in 2028, so unless the government extends it… you may only take advantage of it for the next 2 years.

Update on the high mileage Model 3. Tessie app says it’s still got 67.26% battery health. Will wait to do the official battery health test once car is back from service but I’m very surprised given it’s (allegedly) the original pack according to Tesla
