A little more than two months ago, I abruptly disappeared off this site (and all sm) while I dealt with a family emergency. Apologies if I worried anyone! I've found the mental space from sm so good for my mental health that I've decided to stay away until the new year.
Apparently, when one is sick with the stomach bug one must remember to stay hydrated or risk waking up on the bathroom floor with a busted lip, nose, and shoulder. That was a fun visit to the ER. I guess dehydration and a mad dash to the bathroom was not a good combo.
@RynTerra I understand that so well. We've been so busy with family and our garden/property that I've given up on any sort of regular writing routine before October.
i have a money jar where i put 5€ each time i finish a book, and this is the money i use for book shopping so it forces me to take down my tbr as books are usually > 5€😭
Every writer obsesses over word count.
But not me.
I obsess over page weight.
Each uncoated offset sheet weighs 4.5 grams.
And my 300 page manuscript weighs 1.35 kilograms.
Which makes it heavier than a brain.
That means my novel is literally too dense for critics to comprehend.
Which means it’s review proof now. And not even I can comprehend it anymore.
